Heh I tried it out earlier and it still does a respectable amount of damage but you gotta agree it was pretty ridiculous before.

I'm glad the tank and smoker got the much needed overhaul, especially the smoker as it should be a much less frustrating experience for most now in versus mode.

Edit:

Seems I was wrong when I thought there was still some extra fire damage with hunters as the patch notes did say "Reduced the damage that burning Hunters do to pounced victims".

But people have been saying that the mechanic is completely gone, now that is a shame .

Hexus was up... I went on for a bit, noone joined

It was taking ages to find servers last night, had a few shut down on me mid-game as well which was rather annoying.

Unfortunately I was at work till 8pm last night so didn't get to play L4D until around 9pm (after fighting for 30 minutes to get any sort of game). TAKTAK and I were in the Hexus server from around 10:15pm last night till just before midnight when I "sleep/quit".

I just missed you then... I was on at about 8pm for 15min, then went and had a couple of campaign game with some randoms then I came back around 9:30 and went on for 20min or so then I was talking to mates on msn for the rest of the evening after that.

Clocked up another achievement, got the towering inferno one... thats 23/50 now I think.

I keep having a problem where my connection drops out in a safe house just before going to the loading screen. Well annoying, especially in good games.

Looks like there are some interesting player built campaigns in the making and a few other mods and skins knocking around now.

Yay! Found a new bug on friday. We had two players stuck on the ladder of the lift in no-mercy. I got a screen grab at home and I'll upload it once I finish work today. Everyone stopped playing bar two infected n00bs and just admired how two survivors glitched INTO the ladder.

To explain, bLeda is on a burning tin thing (he is trying to commit suicide), I jave joined him (hence why my screen has 3 guns). If you look at Titan and the other bloke, they are stuck in the ladder and cannot escape or move.

OMG..what is it with people and rage quitting? The scores were pretty close, like within 50-100 points and it gets to the finale, my team is leading so we go first as survivors and as it progresses the enemy team rage quits one by one...until the second tank comes along and there is no enemy team anymore.

I know, it is utterly ridiculous, I try and play only with people I know now because of that.

It is only a game... I've been really surprised by the level of abuse and strop I've encountered. Some people are really serious about doing the campaigns in a particular way or getting the achievements. I'm just playing it for fun, if I get some achievements great!

Ahh abuse. I've been kicked from games for being "abusive". It gets really lame in versus when your survivor team just wants to kill zombies...if they wanted to do that, play campaign. That and run backwards through the map.

Zadock, you forgot to mention, I failed getting into the escape vehicle...I tried rescuing you but you died then as I got to the vehicle, I was tank slapped and pinned against the escape vehicle. I couldn't escape! I did laugh at how the bot just LEFT you to die. Dumb AI.

It was Louis (AI), he stood there for a moment, killed a few zombies then wandered off leaving me on the floor... then the boomer came, and that was it for me.

I started to come out of the rescue vehicle and got onto the porch to come and get you, but then i saw sleepy nearly with you and went back, then i saw you die and sleepy come running back while i had the horde in the rescue vehicle

Then i thought tank was going to get in with me :/, but he went for sleepy instead
