Another +1 for a Road Rash remake, that was always an entertaining game, though I had a tendency at times to force my character to run away from the bike, sometimes even crossing the finish line on foot

I am sure I heard there is a Deus Ex 3 in development, I will have to have a look through the old issue of Edge as I am sure it was in there

Would like to see Master of Orion 2 remade properly; not like that MOO3 overcomplicated rubbish .

Hired guns and as someone else pointed out dungeon master; though loosing the blockiness may ruin it. I'm worried remakes may result in all those happy memories going down the pan.

But what about Moonstone four player (maybe online)?

Tie Fighter - Proper 'simulation' rather than arcadey nonsense with a great campaign, throw in the multiplayer from the later versions and upgrade the engine to DX10 standards FTW.

    Might interest Road Rash fans

Populous and Road Rash to Return?
EA files trademarks and expresses interest in old IP.
    by Martin Robinson, IGN UK
UK, August 12, 2009 - Classic gaming franchises such as Populous and Road Rash could be returning to the current generation of consoles, with EA filing new trademarks for the games as well as expressing an interest in reviving old franchises.

Superannuation has picked up new trademark registrations for Populous, Theme Park, Wing Commander and Road Rash.

The discovery comes shortly after EA Bright Light Studio boss Harvey Elliot, a veteran of Theme Park and Populous developer Bullfrog, didn't rule out the possibility of the classic games returning in some form.

"I think there's an opportunity to bring those back in the future," he told Kikizo, "but only if it's right for the time and not just a 'remake' or something. We'd need to do it in a way that's true to the original values, but would still make a great game today."

It won't be the only Bullfrog game to be put through the remake machine – talented developer Starbreeze is currently lined up to revive the revered Syndicate brand in the near future.

Which EA franchise would you most like to see return? Air your desires in the comments section down beneath.

    Permanently confused

    Whole lot of win there.

But if they're going back to Bullfrog games Dungeon Keeper should be first!

Re: Old games that would be awesome remade

I think somebody should also definately do a freespace 3 and a star lancer sequel (not like freelancer tho, I thought that got a bit dull after the story finished). I dunno whats happened but there seem to be no decent space sim games. I admit I have not played any of the X games, I had been told it takes about 3 years intensive flight training from the RAF to learn the controls. Is there anything else thats new and like freespace, starlancer, wing commander?

Just give it co-op options as well as versus and that'd be good if they did it right.

Yeah there is a DX3 coming at some point, but I remember reading a short interview with the lead developer, or someone along those lines, and he mentioned about changing alot of things, essentially turning it into a run and gun action shooter, which wasn't what DX was about (i.e. you had options to do things by stealth or head on). There was also some mention of removing RPG elements too.

Re: Old games that would be awesome remade

Most of the black isle back catalog, heck just reserect the Black isle studio and Bullfrog while we're there

Fallout was near the top of my list for a while

Syndicate, I loved that game, 2 was ok but just not quite as good.

I'd love to see a come back of the whole mission based space shooter, but Freespace would be top of that list.

AutoAssault it was a real fun MMO untill they shut it down, even if it was just truned into a single player game it would be great

Leading on from that CarWars, would love to see a new game based on this steve jackson game, the last computer game based in this world was back in DOS.

HeavyGear 1, this is still top of my mecha games, NOT HeavyGear 2, that updated the graphics but killed the gameplay and story progression.

No multiple paths and no RPG elements = not Deus Ex
This is why I hate so many remakes, esp when new developers get hold of a title's rights, they never seem to get what made the game good in the first place.
If you don't understand the appeal of the original DON'T REMAKE IT
