    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

I played MW2 over the weekend with the steam free play thing and I definitely think BFBC2 is the better game. MW2 feels too easy and maybe a little childish, encourages camping, tends to be very laggy due to the lack of servers and I could go on. It does get addictive getting perks and attachments but they feel too to get easy as I got to level 20 over one weekend. Anyway I'm sticking with battlefield and I may never buy MW2.

    I used to play BF3, Battlefield BC2, BF4 and TF2

The M4? For which class, or is it class-wide.

Yeah, I hate vehicles. Tanking is boring in this game, flying is something I have yet to learn properly. Boats are next to useless, unless you spam from a mile away.

MW2 is dominated by idiots, and glitching to call nuclear strikes within 30 secs.

Noooo, the Icarus rocks, skiing across The Valley, and dropping a violator over the first build objective - nothing like that! Everytime I see a QuadBike blazing to the objective in BC2. I still say HUSKY on the way to the objective lol.

Vehicles in this game, suck in general.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

My MW2 friend (it's his only online shooter of choice) came round last night and said he was pleasantly surprised by BC2. He was all geared up to hate it to bits... but no. He even said he might buy it. And from a MW2 whore that's quite a compliment.

I think BC2 is the better online shooter and MW2 is the better single player.

Oh, and I like the vehicles. They make it feel more like a real battlefield rather than a bunch of blokes shouting "tactical header" or "bambi" (well, that's what they sound like to me)
And you can counter vehicle spammers (well, vehicle users - it's not really spamming when you are in a tank and shooting it's gun, that's what they do) quite easily with a bit of thinking and team work.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

I love and hate this game.

Upgrades have never sat well with me - I can shoot at a player and hit him 3,4, maybe even 5 times before he turns around with his M60 and blats me in under a second.

    The 40mmGL is way overpowered.

Carl Gustavs being used like shotguns.

Recon players that sit in their base the entire game.

Any many more things are ruining the game.

But at the same time... it's really fun

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Had to rage quit last night when I found 4 team members just staring at an armed M-COM station, all too scared to disarm it because of dying. I HATE and I really do mean HATE players that are scared to die, and worry about their K/D ratio.

In other news, I am finally starting to like Conquest mode - why? Because it is way more fun on a full 32 server I have discovered rather than a 16 slot server. On a 32 Conquest, **** is flying everywhere, and enemies are pouring out of random directions. Really chaotic fun. Where as 16 was kinda boring, and you could go a few minutes without seeing any action (unless on smaller maps). But dayum, on 32 non-stop action. Loving it!

I only ever play on 32 man servers.

Your right about people afraid of dying too - when you are playing rush and everyone sits back and snipes. They are too afraid to move up and it's frustrating as hell.

Someone wrote about flanking a few pages ago - I've found on atacama this is particularly effective. Most of the conflict is centered on B. If you and a squad mate take a quad bike round to the point closest to their spawn, there's hardly ever anyone about and it can be taken pretty easily.

Which brings me onto another point - spawnkillers. People who sit with a tank or helo or both, and destroy the opposite teams tanks and helos before anyone can get into them. It's utterly pathetic and I rage incredibly hard when I see it happening.

Spawn raping has ruined this game and will do until Dice produce some decent admin tools. The stopping power and Juggern00b upgrades also ruin this game, I don't see why they thought they needed to be included.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

Had my first experience of hackers today. No, I mean real obvious blatant hackers. I guess you could say it was my fault; I joined a server with PB turned off. But I had no problems with the server before (been on it loads of time) but tonight’s sessions was painful. Me and my regular group of frag mates quickly sussed something wasn’t right at all.

It wasn’t the fact that I died a lot (as you have seen previously, I have no problem dying). It was the fact more often than not; I had the drop on them. But then seemed to instantly snap-around and starting head-shotting me.

Coupled with real poor hit detection on this server, made for some really hard and challenging games. Glad to say we won most of them. Hackers have no real skill, and are completely dependent on whatever programs they use.

Somewhat soured my enjoyment of this game, but it isn’t going to put me off. Not even one bit.

Update: My m8 bought BC2 on his way home from work last night. LOL. We ended up playing a whole host of Conquest. I agree with Singh and Conquest, 32 player... oh wait... we play on Xbox. Still, 24 player was a shed load of fun.
The enemy had 3 effin tanks on one capture point (broken ship yard), they were laying waste to us. As an engineer I destroyed one with RPG and injured another, died (I don't mind dying either - I ask a m8 to cower so I can spawn with him), came back as Recon and mortared the buggers. My first motar kill Damn this game is exciting.

    ...AND...
It has classic battlefield moments. Guy was shooting at me, he gets smushed by dude on an ATV flying off a ridge, only for him to get battered by a tank, which has a badly flown helicopter crash into it. Bish, bash, bosh! Class.

    Re: Battlefield Bad Company 2

I've been looking for a site with good tips and tricks for the game. Such as which assault rifle is best, best close up weapon etc. Would be nice to find out if it's possible to make the game auto login like you can with bf2142 etc as well.
    My blog

    I used to play BF3, Battlefield BC2, BF4 and TF2
