Anyone interested in playing Direwolf20 1.7 together? I have a server up and running which I wouldn't mind sharing the details with people (same rules as before apply). It's always more fun to play together. Also have a Mumble server with it. Unless anyone else is running a server I can hop on to?

I can restart it from scratch if people are interested, I'm not that far in. I would probably set up a little house around the spawn point with some starting goods in, nothing fancy, but everything gathered from the world, so when you join it's a bit safe at least.

I've been playing around with it for the past few days and it seems like a decent pack, the Direwolf20 Let's Play videos are good as well and goes in to mods I haven't really used before, and they're pretty good (like Ender IO, Extra Utilities, Carpenter's Blocks and OpenBlocks).

I only have one issue, and it's likely to do with my PC. After upgrading my GPU (from Nvidia to an AMD), performance in Minecraft (and some other games) has seriously gone down. Now, granted I didn't play Direwolf20 on my GTX 560 Ti but in a heavily built up Agrarian Skies server I got over 100 FPS, in Direwolf20 1.7 I get around 30 and it gets very laggy sometimes (1-2 second freezes every 30 seconds or so until I restart the client). I have managed to hit 50 by dropping the quality and installing Optifine, but I can't understand why replacing a 5 year old GPU with a 1 year old GPU caused such a huge loss in FPS.

I also had a problem in WoW when I initially changed the card, it would artefact massively, sometimes covering half the screen. It was not overheating. I logged in to safe mode, removed all Nvidia and AMD drivers using Guru3D, re-installed and I haven't seen that problem in any game since. However, it's a bit worrying, never had any problems with my previous Nvidia cards.

I wouldn't mind joining in. Been a while since I played Minecraft. As long as there is the Not Enough Items mod, I think I should be fine. With regard to the frame drop, does Direwolf use some crazy shader pack? Or maybe its Optifine needs tweaking (not even sure if this is in your pack or if Optifine is still going )

ok so i've downloaded the 1.0.3 version of the DW pack but it seems the server isn't on the same version, are you planning to upgrade or should i change?

Oops, yeah, I think 1.0.3 only came out yesterday or something. Been a bit busy with work so haven't had time to play myself. Will upgrade it now.

Hey guys, have added Dynmap, it's currently hammering the server but should calm down once it's loaded everything that we've explored so far.

I have set down my first quarry as well, it's over water so won't devastate the landscape. I suggest we all do the same (if possible) with quarries until we sort out some funky ages.

Hehe, yeah... I got bitten again when I started watching Direwolf20's new series, now I'm enjoying videos by TLJGames, worth watching to get an idea how to start off in this pack.
