I spent the first ten minutes throwing stuff at the guards
Yeah, tried that after posting and it it loaded straight off...Originally Posted by Russ
And its not too shabby a game, is it?
Weapons feel good, enviroments are awesome, AI looks ok.. can't comment on the physics yet, I've had a play with it but not actually used it in the context of the game (apart from smashing the struts on a platform to bridge a gap).
Sure is a lot of fun though!
physics is fun kids
fun throwing bottles at the guards and the whole pick up and move aspect for boxes and the like is much better... trapped in an area where you've got to pile up boxes to get out - kind of amusing making piles of boxes which collapse when you try to jump off them
i got to play for a whole 3 mins.
i got off the train then...aww sheyt had to leave
you know what I'm really pleased about...
the sense of excitement as you're going through... thought my g/f's flight was this morning (and so did she... came within 5 minutes of heading out to the airport at 5am this morning - until we saw that the flight time was 07.15PM rather than 07.15)
but I've spend the last couple of hours going... "Sweetie... come look! this is really cool!!!"
she really doesn't get what the excitement is... meantime I'm drooling over physics, facial expressions and polygon counts!
the level with the car boot thingy is so amazing, thinging bowling up around you, wow looks incredible

I think I'm near Eli's now at the end of the hovercraft bit, it's nice when you get the helicopter gun though shooting and trying to steer at the same time is quite difficult. I'm a bit annoyed at that woman that said it was only a few bends and an hour later I'm still sat there navigating the river.
claim a server emergency - or just get a fragment of wire and bridge the wires in an ethernet connector on your mail server - will kill a few hours. then claim that you'll have to call out a service team... gives you a good 6 hours to go home and play
My sound aint working...anyone had any experience with this. speaker work, sound is on...windooze makes noise but game doesnt want to =/
i just got in from work and steam is just unlocking the files for me. I completely forgot it was the sixteenth today untill a mate of mine mentioned it.
I'll post back later what i think of it. I'm pretty hard to please game wise so this better live up to my expectations.
I must say though, i AM looking forward to it now so bye...
