This is beyond a joke. Steam barely ever lets me log in, even with my firewall off entirely. HL:2 won't launch get's stuck on the screen saying preparing to launch. I can't actually register my key because it tells me the servers are too busy. As I write this Steam has just informed me that my 'ticket' has expired and may I please login again. The login screen is now staring blankly at me... Oh what do you know ... 'Could not connect to steam network'

What the hell is this business?

Updating the game already? Pardon me? It's just been sitting there for the past 5 minutes looking at me.

To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.

That boat/hunter chopper chase is the most fun I've had playing a game for ages.

Seen G-man three times so far.

Once in City 17, then again at Station 12, then again on a walkway before you have to go into the combine base to open the dam gate.

ps. the HL logo indicates a stash of goodies nearby... ALWAYS stop off and hunt around when you see it... it's the rebel's tag I guess..

The gravity gun gets, er, upgraded later on and you can then use it to chuck bodies about... I've been playing all day and I just got to that bit!

    Finished.

Damn good game. Didn't quite work out to 30 hours of gameplay though! Mind you, there's plenty to play with on my second run through. I'll probably spend more than 30 hours just playing with the traps in ravenholm.

*Spoilers* I was a little let down by these actually. The section from the E3 video with the container dropping and the swinging girder wasn't there. Had fun dropping containers with the crne though, so I suppose that makes up for it.

The best game I have ever seen and played by miles, the only problem is that it gives me slight motion sickness!

    *SPOILERS*

Ok im pretty stuck, im on entanglement, the 2nd sentry gun bit. Ive set my 3 sentry guns up 1 looking in 3 of the 4 directions that the soldiers come from, and i sit on the last unprotected section, picking up sentrys when they fall. However i seem to get overwhelmed pretty quick and slaughtered from all directions. And hints or good stratagies to clear this section. Im playing it on hard aswell so i cant run around like a crazzy fool

    *MORE SPOLIERS*

I just got past the bit i was stuck on, easier to defend the connecting rooms with health and armour machines than to defend the whole area. 2 sentrys covering 1 entrance and you and another sentry covering the other. However after a certain back stabbing is confronted and some teleporting later im stuck again. Defending Alyx with more sentrys as she resets the alien teleporter. Any help appreciated.

    Edit: done it was easy
