Don't forget this offer is open to regular contributors to the forum... so perhaps a little longer membership would be required...

This is so cool, but I wish I'd know a week or two ago !

Had trouble with a 7600GS gfx card at N*****ch and had to get a refund, then bought the X1600Pro 256 AGP somewhere else..... Could have got the 512MB from Scan for less with the free postage :-( Oh well, water under the bridge.

Lots of upgrades to go, streaming media, more RAM for my sons PC, ext HDD for me, maybe a NAS, a new kbd, an overdraft, a wife that's shuts up when I spend my own money, you know, the usual stuff !

Thanks Hexus & Scan, I like this place more every day, and I'm still exploring....
    Cheers, David

rolph - the reason that message is coming up, is because you've already assigned the account. It's only needed to be done once only

Just log into our site using the standard login option which can be found on the orange text on the left hand side of the screen on our site

Quick question for you guys at Scan, is there a limit to the number of times one can take advantage of this rather fab offer?

I've been using it quite often lately, is there a chance of me over doing it and getting myself in trouble?

i wouldnt have thought so mate, i've used Scan quite alot, as long as you remain within the rules; regular poster & order OVER £20 EX VAT then im sure there are no issues at all.

Nah not really... but if you're ordering frequently maybe look at bulking stuff together?

As you have only 2 posts, you will not be elligble yet.

You need to be (as the info below explains) - a regular Hexus contributor with at least 25 posts, to be elligible.

Depends how confident you are of stock The bigger the order the higher the chances that not 100% of your order will be in stock at the same time, creating big, potentially permenant, delays :/

Thanks for the tips guys. I do tend to bulk my orders together, they're usually over the £150 mark.

I understand that I have to 25 posts to be eligible. I just wondered how you know if the initial account setup worked...? I entered my details and it then returned me to the scan login page.

If you mean the Hexus account initiallising - it wont be available until you've reached the limit.

If you mean the standard Scan account initialising - you'll see an orange logout button on the left side, and MyAccount will take you to your account

Hate to ask a question that is semi-clarified by the front page - but i was wondering if anyone could clarify this for me.

But when it says "UK Mainland only" -
What exactly does that mean? I've seen NI been classed as Mainland UK elsewhere - but i'm guessing in this case its not?

So, in otherwords, living in northern ireland, there is no hope from me benefitting (even in a partial reduction of postage costs) from this offer, no matter how regular a contributor i am on the forums?

Edit: And sorry if this already answered, didn't feel like rooting through 30 pages

Edit2: Nevermind - Read earlier in the thread that they've clarified no NI people.

Yeah - I think they use CityLink couriers - they charge quite a bit extra for NI so its not their fault
