    Well all things considered.

Im glad the ref blanked the antics of protugal.
About time they got seen for what they are.

On the flip side, whats happened to france ? from the last match to this. Even first half to second ?

Still a win is a win,
    félicitations à l'équipe française.

They were booing cos he's a jumped up selfish little boy who thinks he can play football all on his own. And he's a bit of a pillock to boot...

Hm, I didn't like this match really...
Not that I care about Portugal or France, I don't support any of them, I hope that Italy wins. But I must say that the French didn't play very good football, sure there was this Thuram who was doing really great..but none of the french players ran at all...they just stood there waiting for a pass! And they left the penalty area empty almost everytime :S. It felt a bit "unfair" (lack of better word to use) though that France won because of that penalty shot Zidane did..but whatever. It would have been funnier if they could have made it to 2x15 mins because it felt like after the goal France kinda gave up...

Yeah I agree with the thing said above about Ronaldo, he indeed dived a lot of times!! But I liked their passes between the players, so I've gotta give Portugal some credits.

So, it's Italy - France on Sunday...I really, really hope that Italy will win...
And I think they will..because if the French plays like they did today, and Italy plays like they did against Germany..then I think there shouldn't be a problem. Since the Italians have a Great defence + they are Moving and running!!

    Viva Italia!

    I agree,
I hope France play like they can and then we get a GREAT football match with lots of ups and downs - exactly how it should be.

I don't care for people touting that its a 'beautiful game', tell me whats beautiful about a stadium full of bare chested over-weight - jeering and shouting and basically giving this nation a bad name? and not to mention where the money comes from for these 'sports men' to go away. I couldn't give a toss if they won but typically I knew they wouldn't - I find it quite ammusing france are doing as well as they are!
Over the last year, our football team has been far more successful than any of those other sports you have mentioned.

Our cricket team has just been whitewashed by Sri Lanka

Our Rugby Team has just been whitewashed by Australia

There is probably less stars in our athletics squad than there has been for years

Our country is years ahead of any other at stamping out violence and racism in football

The players are only paid what they are paid because somebody is prepared to pay it - is a footballers wage less deserved than a highly paid stockbroker's wage - a person who gives nothing to society, creates nothing, just moves money about inevitably making the rich richer. At least footballers give us entertainment and a sense of pride.

Please don't stereotype England fans...or football fans in general - when 15million watch England on TV, that is a large generalisation.

Oh, and if you see any "larger drinking jobs" advertised, let me know.

We are World Cup holders in Rugby, and we hold the Ashes, and have built the 2nd best Cricket team in the world. We only had 4 first teamers against Sri Lanka.

We haven't done anything in Football since 66, and we ain't had a decent team since 1990.

The football team haven't been succesfull at all in the last year, lost to N.I, they were pathetic in 99% of friendlies.
