Anyone got Speedfan working yet on the P5K Dlx to control the fans? I tried up to Bios 0501 with
latest Speedfan 4.33 Beta9. No luck at all. This is really starting to piss me off.
200 Euro board but not being able to control a simple fan.

No I am not FAT but FAT or FAT 32 will do or you can burn it to a disk and update that way.

Yes i did, when i got the board new. I did work actually, but there isnt much control involved. I would rather have speedfan or a similar software running
where i am able to define temps and speeds myself, then having the bios control it more or less automatically.

True. I got MCubed T-Balancer bigNG a while back as a fan controller & that works automatically with motherboard monitor & other sensors. Success with speedfan etc., seems to be depend on the mobo.

    how you liking your 6850??

A loooooooot of course Gave up a while ago on reaching 4ghz on my model tho, even with 1.65v vcore and NB/SB voltage increased,
i cant get above 3.92 too boot. But the cpu is more than fast enough for the things i bought it for with stock speed. If i had to decide again,
i would go for the 6750 instead i guess, to save a 100€ there, for almost the same speed.

Was thinking why there isnt something like a PCI fan controller card, with 6 or 8 fan ports on it, and such a Winbond chip motherboards use too,
and is supported by speedfan. That way nobody would need to care about the MoBo control, just using that extra PCI card. I would pay a lot for such an option.

Edit: oh i just looked at your mCubed link after writing that. Now need to find a retailer here that has it

Pity about the 4k but 3.9 ain't bad Have been pondering myself whether to opt for q6600 or 6850 but your advise on the 6750 may be right.

The m-cubed is good & very flexible to fit, usese a drive, bay pci, or
Mounted on case using Velcro fasteners

The response curve is can be fully tailored:-
    Response Curve Editor

Main down side is £ but i have found it worthwhile especially after messing about with fan controllers etc.,

Found it here for 70€, will get it next month for sure Cant wait to control my fans finally, and get the pc even more
silent than it is now. But gonna be another expensive order, along with a few Nexus 120mm fans.

I got mine when i fitted my watercooling, wanted to control radiator fans as well as case fans. I went with YateLoon D12SH-12 , no direct help with ocing , but wife likes it as she can hear the tv now
