Running the 0501 BIOS, no problems so far.
Yes you can flash straight away with 0501, but as said, its Beta. You dont gain anything compared to 0404. If i were you i would use 0501 now, and if you encounter any problems, go back to 0404 or even older. Good choice with that board, you will be very happy with it.

hmmmm............i dont wanna go beta testing just yet think ill flash with 0404.
Oh btw, rigged everything up and started up with no problems Set memory timing manually to stock settigns and also voltage of the memory at 2.2
Ran mem test for 13hours and not a sinle error in 13 passes!!!!
KK downloading 0404, had problems trying t get firmware on a cd. The asus flash utility wont detect it. Tried plugging in my external HDD too but it said dont support NTFS.
Thank god i did buy a floppy drive
EDIT: Just went on asus site and saw heaing under the BIOS's DOS and All OS...is the DOS one for flashing using the utility ALREADY in the bios or does it come with its own utility?
Maybe because the 0311 was under the heading ALL OS it wasnt detected in the Asus Flash Utility?

Just go into the bios, tools, ezflash and do it from there.
You have extracted the rom file before trying to flash it yes?
Use a USB stick or SD card and reader.
Hmmmmm, someone stole my USB Stick at school...was partly my fault cos i left it in there!
Hmm might connect my N95 up via mass storage and check if i can like that....
EDIT:Still wont show up with the bios under the DOS heaing:S
KK gna try the flash card

Says "CMOS Checksum Bad"
What does that mean? Didnt flash properly or my settings are wrong?
it will quite often say/do that after an update...have you turned it off and back on yet?
xAmritx (15-07-2007)
After it flashed and said will reboot in 5 seconds it went to a blank screen.
Than waited for a reply from you and followed your instructions to switch on and off.
Did that and it laoded to say "CMOS Checksum Bad".
Want me to switch on and off again?
