Turn the PSU off at the back for about 10-20 seconds and then turn back on, if not, next step is cmos clear.

BTW just to say it does give me the option to press "F1 to run setup"
and "F2 to load default values and continue"
Tell me if you still want me to try the PSU siwthc off after you read this message
EDIT: I pressed F1 and went into bios. Everything ahs reverted back to what it was when the board came (i mean the settings not the bios version, checkt he bios version and it says 0404)
Exited bios and it restart as usual. Going to try once more to check

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRGGHH
Yeah, just press F1, this is all completely normal.
You will have to enter your RAM timings and voltages again, and any other settings.

Back and with 2 more problems:S
1)
It wont boot Western Digital Lifeguard tools in DOS.
Says:
driver not found : 'generic'
a:/> NWCDEX.exe requires a Driver name to be specified
and then gives me command promt.....
I want to fully format my HDD using thier tools, i tried making a floppy version but then get:
Seek error reading drive
bleh any help available on this silly problem?
2)
Now all of a sudden when i turn on my PC it powers up then quickly powers down for a few second then powers up fully....im like wtf what the hells caused this!
Anyone know?
You dont need to do anything like that.
XP and vista will let you format and partition the drive before installing windows.
Dont worry about the power up and then restart, its normal, and a lot of C2D boards do it.

wanted to do with the proper utilities made by the manufacturer but i guess thats me being abit paranoid
Hmm, so C2D board do this....do u possibly know why it did this all of a sudden? Was working perfectly before
Thanks once again
It will do it from time to time, it is normal, and all the boards that Ive used in the last year or so have done it, including 975, 965, 680i and P35, so dont worry.

Went to look more into the power down thingy problem with the P5K and found out that people experienced this after upgrading to 0404 (like i did)....but as clunk said its normal for boards to do this..
I hope this helps and calms anyone down who nearly ahd a heart attack after experiencing the problem
Yeah it was very weird for me too at first, because i didnt have a C2D board before (nforce4 sli with pentium4). But knowing its all good, is ok

Did it when you was on the first bios 02xx?
I flashed to this one or the one before it on first boot. I would be surprised if it didnt, because every other c2d board has done it.
How does a 3dmark06 score of 9904 sound?
