Watched Wall Street (the 80s one) at the weekend for the first time. It was good. Nothing much changes in the land of high finance...

Dredd. Disappointing but a decent enough action flick.

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

Watched Never Let Me Go on Saturday, it wasn't the film I thought we were getting, I realise now that one's An Education...

It was quite good, quite slow starting, but quite poignant.

Also watched the first Hobbit film yesterday, in 3D. It was OK, but what spoiled it for me was the fact I needed a wee half an hour in, and the film is nearly 3hrs long...

I watched Valkyrie last night and thought it was a very good film. I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise but he wasn't rubbish in it. Well worth watching.

    Battle Los Angeles (Blu-ray)

Love that film. Mind you anything with guns and explosions is my thing

Another recently watched film was Safe House, with Denzel Washington/Ran Reynolds. Pretty awesome film, again plenty of guns

I thought that as well, when I saw it. It was the wife's choice, and I scrunched my face up at it, but I was pleasantly surprised, it was quite an understated role. Maybe he should have a limp and an eye-patch in all his films...

Re: Your most recently watched movie/film?

I watched 'Avengers Assemble' and 'The Men Who Stare At Goats' over the weekend.

Avengers Assemble was rubbish to start off with and I was tempted to turn it off but in the end it wasn't too bad. Definitely not the best film I've seen and not one I'll want to watch again.

The Men Who Stare At Goats was ok, quite amusing with the Star Wars and Jedi references considering that Ewan McGregor is in the film. Funny in places but predicatable.

    Skyfall

    9/10

Best damn Bond movie ever made in my honest opinion.

Exciting, tense and extremely well executed.

Zero Dark Thirty - Long, gripping, suspenseful and well executed. Very good if you don't mind a longer film (2.5 hours) - 8/10

I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy at the weekend, it was quite good. Lots of good British actors in it, and a solid storyline.

    Skyfall.

Didn't do it for me. Shot in the chest and falling about 400 yards into water and then walking about a few days later with a healed up tiny wound. Pfft.

Watched Seven Psychopaths the other night. It was okay, not amazing but alright. Mr Walkden was his usual interesting self but thought Mr Farrell was pretty weak in it though.

Just watched Catfish last night and it was bloody awesome.

I like these documentary type movies. I find them far more enthralling.

Now to watch the TV show.
