The speeds are actually decent, considering I pay only a tenner a month and I'm not even on contract.

Not bad seeing as I live in the arse end of nowhere. I could get faster if I paid more, but it's good enough for me.

Re: Your broadband speed - post here

Used to be with BT and only got 4.5MB down 0.37MB up, so moving to Sky was definitely a good move! Still, everyone I know has 20MB+ speeds (on the same bloody exchange as me!) and because of where I live I'm stuck with this until new lines get put in. No FTTC for another 2 years at least either

Re: Your broadband speed - post here

Absolutely loving this download speed however the 20:1 download to upload ratio is hilariously bad with Virgin Media... oh well can't complain i guess as the over all connection is better than most of the country has.

The upload is supposed to get upgraded to 6meg at some point 'apparently'. I'm skeptical on this.

Re: Your broadband speed - post here

*scratches head* So I've been lax paying my bills and I believe I'm being throttled back...but my upload speed has doubled??! What is that all about?

Reduced from 194mb/s to 84mb/s, but upload virtually at 100mb/s.

Not bad for talktalk, speeds in Belfast aren't generally that high either without fibre
