I can second the above - I was using the standard BeBox but was not impressed with download speeds etc.
I had a DG834GT which I upgraded to custom firmware and am now using that with Be and I consistently get 1.8MB/s download speeds with a download manager (orbit) - sometimes higher.
Thanks for the advice, no need to buy another modem then.
Even though in my circumstances it is slower I will conceed its a quality peice of kit, Ive never had to reset it once.
Be put me on fastpath as of today, got a 2mb improvement in speed been connected for 13hours and not a single loss of signal w00t
What is fastpath?

Hi
I have O2 Broadband and the router is annoying me!!!!!
It keeps disconecting me from game servers. I lagg out LOADS.
Im going to buy a Netgear DG834N soon but i have an old Draytek Vigor 2600G
Is there a way i can use the Thomson 780 to do the internet but then the draytek to handle connections seeing as that is alot more stables and should give me a temporary fix until i get my new router.
Thanks
BTW im going to need instructions Routers arent really my thing xD
Just got my O2 service set up, the second version of the router is a lot better than the old Thomson one from when I first had Be.
I had a couple of ZyXel routers and they were terrible, will never use them again. Kept on failing after a short session of heavy downloading, the O2 Wireless box2 is doing a superb job without any drop outs.
And at the full 16Mbps

"I've heard there is a common problem with this item from forums" - If you read some forums they believe Elvis was abducted by aliens, doesn't mean it's true.
about time you had some luck then.
Why did you not pick some of the bigger names? They offer better deals IMO than the smaller BBand suppliers. Is there a reason for this?
Hey guys,
I'm looking to switch to the 8meg Be value package and wanted to know a few things from the people that are already with them.
1) It seems that as soon as you go above a 2mb conn interleaving gets turned on. From what Ive read the package in question has it turned on, is it a question of simply ringing them and asking them to turn it off/to fastpath?
2) Are there customer services outsourced?
THanks

*woah double post... :/*
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You can only go fastpath on above the 8mb package and only with Be (hence the higher monthly price)
As for CS the last time I contacted or phoned it didn't seem to be.
customer service is abroad but I normally submit tickets and so far have not had any majore issues. Also the number is a free phone number so no biggy if you do have to ring.
Only issues I've had is me playing with my firmware lol.
So can you have Interleaving turned off? or is it that being on the value package you are stuck with it being on?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
