get it plugged in as soon as you receive it, sod waiting for the activation date. think i got connected 3 or 4 days early.

Oh n0es!!!
The firmware on my bebox is not right.
As such we've got to find an active web connection where I can download the zip and then update the router later so we can login and connect.
eeek.....
what do you mean its "not right"?

The firmware needs a quick update as it's not accepting the default username and password to login and setup the router.
My housemates sorting it at dinner so fingers crossed I'll be back online soon
The bebox does not need any login details, plug it in and point your browser to:
bebox
or
192.168.1.254
or
10.0.0.138
Cheers.
I didn't touch it at all yesterday as I was still under the weather from getting far to drunk at the weekend and stayed in my room with the curtains closed and sunglasses and my housemate did all the legwork.
I have a Draytek Vigor 100 at the mo, and am thinking of switching to Be. Anyone have any idea if the Vigor 100 is compatible or if I would have to use the BeBox?
Cheers.
Finally connected tonight and all I can say is " wooooooooooosh "
crazy download speeds and the upload is cracking as well.
No it doesn't seem like Vigor 100 can handle ETHoA. But actually BeBox is quite good especially with wireless turned off so I think you will like it.

I've jumped on the be bandwagon as well signed up an hour ago how long will it take to be done ??
I had to wait for roughly about a week, but I guess you'll soon recieve confirmation email from Be which states activation date and instructons on how to set things up. After taking your first payment they'll send you BeBox so just plug that thing in on your activation day(your previous connecton will drop out so you'll know when you sould do this) and off you go.
Count yourselves lucky, my exchange has been put back for Be activation since January! I have an excellent line that flatlines 8Mb and I'm itching to see what it can get on Be
One thing though, what are the caps like on Be and arethere any port restriction policy in place?
