Thanks for the hasty reply clunk, seems the link width is x1, tried upping the pci-e freq to 110 still stays at x1. Could this be because the card is not sitting properly ?

Isnt the card sitting properly?
if it isnt, push it in.
You can try 115, 120, its only to unstick it.
Well took the card out and put it back in , worked fine at 16x. Lying case on side with card not screwed in. Screwed card in , restarted and stood case up and it went back to 1x , so seems its not sitting securely. At least i know the prob now ill sort it out 2moro thx.
The eclipse is hella sweet for cable tidying, soooo much space!
Good job.

That link should be fine.
Just keep an eye on it for about 20-30 mins, then check back every so often if the temps are getting up a bit, or turn the fans up
I have the fans set on auto cos I dont have a fan controller yet. But they do seem to turn up when the cpu is under load so it shud sort it out by itself I hope
Should be ok then. How hot is it?
Thats fine.
If it went ok overnight with no errors, you are ok to start
I can smell burning
