this would be better
you can easily get away with the HX520w tho use this to find out what you should expect

500W is more than enough but if you want to change PSU the 520W HX would be perfect.
well i know its ott but xfx have reccomended with this particular card 625watts :S
look at the hexus review for the 9800GX2. Load power use was something like 320W lol
Aye go for the HX series instead of the TX. They are actually different internally and the HX are much better being re-branded Seasonic PSUs - the bonus is they have modular cabling too.
the card is the main problem in the cables way
that one is just for the hell of it
Wow what heatsink is that? Or is that two heatsinks put together?
Can you (or anyone else) describe what you do? Mine is a total mess I'm scared to tie stuff up because sata cables pop out so easily. I'm also not sure where I would bunch up all the excess cable length. There isn't a whole lot of room around my PSU area. I'm also not sure if cables are safe to be bent really tight.. Is it possible to damage the wire inside the cables by folding one up really tight?
probably would damage cables if very very tight... wouldn't worry about a little bit of bending. what case have you got? in mine atm it is a generic one you can put the wires straight into where hdd's should go if you have lots
Ive got a Corsair HX620W psu and my case is an Akasa Eclipse 62. I really like both, but the inside is a real mess. (All totally my fault though).
For example the back of my hard drives is only about 6 inches away from the sata ports on my motherboard, and yet the cable is like a foot long or something. So it snakes all over the place. And there are 3 disks. Then the worst mess is probably the power cables coming down from the PSU to the hard disks though.
I have alot of cables in my case that aren't plugged into anything. Really annoying, they just trail all over the place.

You might be able to just roll/fold them up and tie them with an elastic band or some cable ties or something. Problem with mine is that they all go into something :/ I'll probably fix it one day, a rainy day
Lol, I have so many wires I didn't even realise I hadn't connect 1 of my fans on my antec 900. Just did it there...it was hard getting the connectors together, it was pretty tight.

i'm pretty sure it's the scythe mine
you can route the cables behind the back panel i think, i can't really tell from the piccys tho. there looks to be plen'y 'o room to run cables out of the way on the hexus review here its a good idea to keep things tidy as it improves airflow. most people use tiewraps to keep cables out the way but mine just stay shoved out the way behind the side panel of the case. i might take a piccy of behind the other side panel if i get time. it's basically a mass of cables not being used and or excess cable.
I know this is off topic but i don't want to start another pointless nub thread.... i don't know what the little connection is just above of where it says geforce on the side of the card is for
I got a cable with the card that plugs into it, but i am wonderning what it is for? manythanks
Not quite sure where I'm looking. I hope you don't mean the 6 and 8 pin connectors lol
