Intel E8400 @ 4050Mhz, oh yes! Took me a few years but pencil mod = win.
4gb ddr2 ram at 800mhz, does ram really affect results? mine can do 1ghz+ so i may overclock it.
I dont think thats bad for a 3+ year old system (excluding the gpu), processor showing age when compared to most of you lot but tbf it is close to the big guns even though its a dual core haha.
my points per £ arent going to be good as im comparing it to 3 year old prices...

However if you do depreciation (excluding gpu) say it will last me for 4 years(100% upgrading to bulldozer this year or going intel again) ive used it for 3 years so far so its lost ~£168.75, it would have costed me £176.25 in total so thats 20.18

haha, it seems my system does beat a few newer gen cpu's and fairly even gpu's lol... not bad!

Thats my plan though I don't think a 2600k is going to get me to the top, not with the 580's sat there.
just managed to get my hands on a couple of 5870's for crossfire testing seeing that Tattysnuc cheated and rebuilt his entire pc when i was 30 points away from beating him.
So sorry greg can you put me just above you on the list with 7284 (sorry mate)

is this your permanent setup or just for testing? if its not permanent setup then i dont think should go up. how ever i will stick it up anyway

Am using these for now yes hopefully be keeping them in for the forseeable. My mate had an sli board and ati cards and i had the opposite so we did a trade
p.s Didn't wanna beat your score seeing as you did the list.
cool, no sweat every single score on that board is up to beaten. Just i frown up on people borrowing their friends parts for 1 run only and giving them back. Its cool to show off you score here, but wouldnt you agree its kinda wrong to put it up on charts?

Sorry mate you misunderstand me we haven't traded for the purposes of the test he wanted my graphics card so he could try sli. And felt it would be rude to turn down his card and miss the oppurtunity to try out two 5870's in XF. These babies will be in my pc from now until i get bored and fancy a change.

and yeah totally agree should be your own bits not borrowed just to test and get big score.
Back again with a bit of an OC applied. 5870s back up there with 8562 ! 6th is a good result with last years model.
