I'm tempted to have a go later tonight and try get my cpu to 3.2GHz stable. I did manage a post in vista but prime 95 had one error in one of the cores, gonna try up the voltage abit. Ram is running at 4-4-4-12 right now
My budget Asrock 4coredual VSTA crashes above 300fsb.
So I'm stuck with it running at 2.7Ghz at 1.3v.
which is plenty fast enough anyway cos the ram and graphics card are bottlenecking it anyway.
A few more cpuz validated for the Flex ram.

Edit: I forgot to say that these are more ram overclocks on the P5B, only minor cpu clocks

A few interesting (if you are a nerd) 3dmark06 results. Bog standard 8800GTX, not overclocked.
CPU at 3.6ghz ram at 800mhz, but with different latencies.
3-3-3-4
4-4-4-4
5-4-4-4
4-4-4-4 @ 1200mhz - odd result Almost identical result in 3dmark06 to the 800mhz run, but the Sandra score has rocketed. Weird!
There was something about this on the main page too. In the weekly roundup.
They showed similar results. Shows that the expensive stuff really isn't worth the money. Wish I'd know that when I went for 2gig of PC8500 over 4gig of PC6400
D'oh
Ill do some CCE encoding and see what difference it makes on that, I suspect that it should fly with the faster ram, but who knows
I got my E4300 to 3.2 now Dare I try getting 3.3 for a 100% OC Have the voltage at 1.4 still
First 2 results with E4300 and P5N32-E SLI. Nothing major, more to come today hopefully
First attempt.

Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
No not really. I believe there is a differenc in onboard cache, but mainly the e4300 has a lower CPU clock (FSB) of 200 but a higher Multiplier of 9 giving 1.8GHz at stock vs the w 6300 of 266*7 = 1.86GHz.
In theory the e4300 should be easier to overclock...... all things being equal, and currently the e4300 is £10 cheaper, so it is worth a punt at the budget end.
I have an e4300 on order for my daughter.... will see what is can do (close your eyes Clunk...) on my Commando.
