"Fairly" I've been running it at 1680x1050 max detail on all settings on a P4 3.8 and 6800 Ultra.

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

Can someone help me with the patches needed to updated to latest version please.

I have WoW and TBC discs, when these are installed, what patches do I need? I know I could leave the updater to do the patches but it takes so long. I see Filefront have a lot of patches on their site and I'm hoping to get all I need from there.

So could anyone let me know what ones I need?

    Cheers.

    Best bet is:
    http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors

If I'm reading the right big you're after:
    WoW 2.0.0 -> TBC expansion -> 2.4.0 -> 2.4.1 -> 2.4.2 -> 2.4.3 -> 3.0.1 -> 3.0.2.

But install wow, install tbc, then check which version it's taken you to as wotlk takes you to 3.01 I think.

You can skip installing Wow original discs, TBC will install the original version to TBC and you can continue patching from that point.

At least it works like that with WOTLK install. But i am semi certain it will be the same with TBC disc.

Doesn't the game automatically find the latest patches if you try to login when you have an out of date version of the client?

    Maybe I'm missing something?

Yes you are missing something. He doesn't want to use the patcher. Its slow for some people, so getting the patches from a hosted site is much much quicker.

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

If you run the self patcher with wow or the launcher as its called, you can click help within it and it will link you to mirrors of the patch files.

The wowwiki link is also reliable.

Geist is right in what he said.

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

I tried to get back into this game after 2 years. While the new expansion looks good, I really cant find the motivation to invest time to level up to 80 now...

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

i've given up on this for good now i think. is anyone still playing? i could deal with TBC but i think the lich king has ruined the game which is a shame. i dont like any of the new raids, and pvp is beyond a joke- what was wrong with the old arena system!

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

I haven't resubbed for the past month or two, doubt I will again. I do enjoy the WotLK content and love playing my Paladin and Druid, but I just don't have the time to raid when others want me to.

EVE is where it's at now!

my main is a warlock, and i got quite frustrating as warlocks were dire in the first stages of PVP, then buffed to acceptable, then completely changed to ridiculous!

i've started eve now too, maybe i'll enjoy playing it, but not convinced i'll make it over the learning curve hump!

Re: Who's still playing WoW then?

IM getting fed up, have a really well geared full tier 8.5 lock and agree that litch has ruined it and havent done PvP since litch which I used to enjoy. I hate the fact you need PvP gear and raid gear.
