It's more to keep the casual players leveling times closer to the people that play near constantly. In China they have an actual system to stop people playing for long periods of time, after X hours (3/4?) is cuts the drops you get in half, another hour and you get stats cut by 50%, etc. Not sure if they cut you off eventually.
Been clean for about 2 weeks now. I don't think I can see myself going back to WoW even when WotLK is out, I'm just not sure I can live my life around a game anymore (raiding wise I mean, it's pretty much impossible to raid when YOU want unless you're lucky enough to get home before 6/7pm all the time) and nothing else interests me enough about the game to pay for it (PvP, solo and grinding etc).
yeah well off my toon but playing on mates account for honor also on another on the buddy link account thing lvl 28 6hour played time
i have been playing this game for nearly a month and tbh i dont see the addictiveness in the game. its a good game but come on. how can you seriously get addicted to this game let alone ANY game. TBH the game is abit boring as each quests focuses on grinding and killing so far
I`ve managed to get away from it now
I hit lvl 65 and went into blades edge area. The quests I have are a lot of grinding ones and I just feel I need a bit of a break. Going to star away for a month then I`ll come back
There's a new content patch coming before the WotLK, to include new talents, and some spell/ability re-works. Like what happened with the first expansion.
With the release of Wrath of the Lich King approaching, we wanted to provide you with some important information. In preparation for the expansion, we will be issuing a new content patch in the coming weeks. Much like the patch made available shortly before The Burning Crusade's release, this content patch is designed to bridge current game content with that of the expansion and will contain some exciting changes and additions.
We have outlined some of the larger features scheduled to release with the patch below:
* New class spells and talents.
* Barbershops in capital cities.
* Zeppelin towers outside of Orgrimmar and Tirisfal Glades.
* Stormwind Harbour.
* In-game guild calendar.
* Hunter pet skill revamp.
* New profession: Inscription.
* Two brand-new Arenas featuring challenging new layouts, terrain hazards, and moving obstacles:
o o o Orgrimmar Arena.
o o o Dalaran Arena.
As mentioned above, this is not a comprehensive list, just some of the major highlights. We’ll post the full patch notes as soon as they’re available.
Regarding Inscription, please note that all Burning Crusade players will be able to select Inscription as one of their two professions and level up to a skill level of 375 with it. Upon the release of Wrath of the Lich King, players who purchase and install the expansion will be able to continue leveling in Inscription and the other professions beyond 375.
Stormwind harbour could be useful. any ideas where the routes will be too or is it just going to be to northrend?
I'm still playing WoW, mainly because of the triple XP group party thing (boxing). Only until the WAR open beta starts up this week for Europe though
