That wasn't my complaint in my reply - perhaps it was driven a bit from the use of HDR, but my main problem was what it turned the subject into. Of course rules such as exposure are often meant to be broken for the best effect, but mmh replied to my light-hearted dig at the colour with what seemed like a serious question, so I answered it.
It was a serious question to be honest...

It was my first attempt at HDR and I was just trying to expose the sky with a little more detail really... i guess i made it darker than it should be... I do like to have things dark though with all my photographs... I guess its just the way i am, so i guess its right as far as art photography goes but as a technical photograph its not the best

A shot from Quartzsite, AZ - USA...

a town we passed through (to get more beer) on the way back from Phoenix to Los Angeles... Thought this building was interesting!

Classic american shot, but I certainly wouldn't be stopping there for gas. I have visions of cousin Cletus sharpening his meat cleaver and neatly arranging the meat hooks in the back there.

Ah, apologies, I thought you'd done a bit of HDR work around here before (I've obviously been thinking of someone else), so thought you might have just gone a bit nuts on the sliders over time or something.

Like I said, I wouldn't have bothered, except I used to drive one a lot, so knew how far the colour was off. I wouldn't have been so condescending had I known you were an HDR virgin.

    Honest mistake.

    hah, no worries mate....

the actual truck was quite dark though from what i remember, (and the original pictures) there was more rust than paint and i was amazed that he still used the tractor!

I'll give it another go when i get chance and see what i can do with it

pfft i don't care. I liked the colour.

Its like when i complain to a girl that the hacking scene was un-realistic, they don't give a flying fornication.

so with this tractor 99.5%+ of Hexus members would not know the right colour?

Seriously though Bob, I got a lot of ideas and made quite a bit of effort over the last year off the back of your (and other's) comments. So thanks for that.

Made me want to get down to Bournemouth next year anyway

The Nissan Figaro isn't all that odd. Loads of them come out in the Summer months. I'm pretty sure they were all imported from Japan, around 1990-1993.
