shutter speed wasn't slow enough for the props, but still better than faster..

Props look fine to me. It's not easy handholding for long enough to get a disc on the Lanc and still keep it sharp.

For those who were wondering, 100-400L, 7D, for the jets Av (7>, usually with a few stops positive EV), props Tv 1/100 - 1/200 depending on conditions (e.g. wind, engine type - in other words as slow as you can safely go!) again positive EV.
