My usual comment: why? Focus test? Bokeh test? Out of focus highlight test? (presume that's what the blob is)
Went to support my brother in an Invitational European Petanque competition in Nieuwegein, Holland this weekend and took my camera

I'll be uploading some more over the coming days, used my 50mm 1.8 for most of them, some of the shots seemed to have dodgy focus, but I'm putting that down to me not using my camera for a while and so losing what little touch I had

rjkp, Im almost tempted to say that your blade is not sharp enough, but I wont. Josh, love the minimalism in 527A7992, some loverly reflections in 527A7961, and mono is perfect for 527A7444 ! George, some nice portraits and studies there.
1 - An Iguana posing at Stratford Butterfly Farm.
I took 278 pics of the butterflies, but due to me trying to be Mr Super Macro and get really close, only three were useable
2 - Unknown Butterfly.
3 - another unknown butterfly.
Those are some real beauties Dave. Funny how the patterning on the eye makes it look like the focus was off when in fact it's not at all. The lizard is a cracker but it feels a tad underlit and underexposed, I would have sexed it up a bit with some PP to compensate.
My shot of the day; we're very lucky to have a breeding pair of sparrowhawks live around our back garden and they regularly use it for hunting. Today was the first time I've had my camera out and caught a kill in progress, whilst technically not my greatest triumph I was chuffed to bits to capture it. The pair will usually let me get respectably close but this little lady hefted her prize into the air so a crop at 200mm had to suffice.
