    No worries...

you need an off camera flash lead to make it really easy...

a black background as far away as you can get it now infront of the black facing where the smoke will be aim it at the smoke plugged into the camera. then the smoke infront of it

and camera infront of that looking straight at the black...

light insence, and hold something where the smoke is rising to focus on.

get focused and take some snaps...

hopefully you should get a black background on some cool smoke showing in white...

I added the spoon for more effect...

then added an overlay of the rainbow colours...

    and thats it...

    New toy

    Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8.

Just need to decide if I keep this, the 24-105mm (got them both pretty cheap so could sell on ebay for no loss)

See whether I miss the 50-105mm length or use the wide angle and f/2.8

Nice build on the tamron btw, a bargain at £200 imo

its all about why you want wide angles tbh.. if you dont see yourself taking shots that require the wideness, then no point in keeping it

    Re: Photo-a-day

I def will be using the wide end, thats what I missed on my 24-105, but I will have to see if 50mm is a bit too short. I will see if I benefit alot from the f/2.8, my other options were the sony 16-105mm or the 16-80mm zeiss

    We shall see!

if i need a bit more range i borrow one of my dads telephoto's (gigs/dark long range: 70-200mm f2.8 canon, bit more length needed then i borrow 100-400mm canon)
