E8400 in stock????

Hey, I ordered my E8400 about 2 weeks ago, amoung other things, and im still waiting.

What I really want to know is how many E8400's are you getting in? cos if your only getting a few in then most of us will still have to wait weeks for you to get more?

i'm exactly the same. normally I could wait but this time I need everything within the next couple of weeks....I don't trust the expected dates anymore as they just seem to slip back a week automatically. i'd happily pay a lot more if it meant i'd get my parts anytime soon.

plus, I notice i've been charged in full even though no part of my order has despatched, nor does it even seem close to despatching. is this normal? I thought this was not legal?!?

Looks like Scan got another batch in... I just recieved an email saying mine should be dispatched today. Looks like I'll have my new life partner (PC) ready for valentine's day ^_^

I just received an email from Scan saying:
"3. Order picked / Awaiting despatch - 13 Feb 2008 13:50:00"

So, a batch must have arrived today, and some/most/all pre-orders got allocated.

If it helps to get a handle on the extent of the backordering, my just-dispatched order was placed on the 23rd of Jan.

Although I imagine the wait when ordering one now might be significantly less...

Like i said...when i rang up at 12pm they had all come in and then all shipped out so they have none left.

I ordered mine on the 31st of January and i havent got a picked notice. If someone who ordered on the 9th Feb gets one before me how is that fair ?

Yep, I was advised to send it back because of instabilities not because of temperature problems sadly.

Got tested as a faulty CPU? So I guess maybe it was faulty.

Ordered 31st Jan and it was picked and sent on the 13th Feb.

Right and when I phone customer services they assure me that these are being sent out on a first ordered first despatched basis.

This is two deliveries now where orders placed after mine have been fulfilled while I'm stil waiting. I appreciate life is not fair and supply is limited everywhere but at this rate I will never get my chip, regardless of when the next restock is. Good job scan.
