    Its a Graphics Card fault.
By the sounds of it, the memory chip(s) on the card are dying.

An Enermax 400+W PSU is more than enough to run that rig.

Weird for a mobo to give those kind of errors tbh.

I recently had one of my sticks of ballistix go down, this showed up as a graphics card fault on my current set-up (see sig).
Tested card on rig almost identical to mine and it was fine.
Stuck in my trusty BH-5 and all was well (after a shed load of slot swapping and clearing cmos of course).

Scan beg to differ, i have RMA'd two GFX cards with the same symptoms. All my test pointed at GFX card also. That is why I insisted they took all components and tested them together.

I think the 2A error is related to memory, aparently giving the same errors even when dimms were changed.

Well this is where it is stranger, I actually tested my card in my friends AB9 Pro and he then got the symptoms. I did not get any symptoms when I had his (identical) card in my PC. Sounds like GFX card and I was almost convinced but Scan said no fault found on the GFX card.

I hope so, i just hope that they have tested all my gear together to replicate the same problems I was getting. Also that they will test a new mobo with my components to ensure the fault has been rectified. The last thing I want is to receive all me components back and the problem is still there. I have already been without my PC since November 25th.

Ouch. It would drive me mental not having my pc.
At least you still have access to one.

I do yes but only my work laptop. its not ideal and means my wife cannot use the PC in the daytime. It has caused a lot of hassel but as long as it gets sorted ASAP I dont mind to much.

OK, just called customer services and have requested that the new board is tested with my componenets before shipping to me. I know there will be a delay in getting the stuff back but in all honesty I have been waiting so long now that a couple of extra days wont make any difference. At least it should ensure that I have a working PC at the end of it.

    Many thanks Lee

It's not me who's done the testing... there's another Lee ( with the same initials as well ) so this makes things even more confusing than normal and I get his emails all the time

I'll pass your thanks to him anyway.

I think I need to change my name by deed poll

    Ok thanks Lee

Is there any chance you can get a more detailed description of the issues and IF he was getting the corruptions at post as well?

No Worries - Do you have any reference numbers for the RMA or Query so I can add notes asking what you've asked basically.

Silly question but I take it you've got any extra power connectors connected to the gfx card / mobo?
