OMG, you have no idea how much I'm waiting for 15th July, its sad.

<removed - so much as hint at illegally obtaining software again will lead to a no warning suspension. We have a zero tolerance on talking about downloading leaks. Consider this your final and only warning>

Intresting article about the different versions, curious to note home premimum will be limited to 16gb of memory, prof is 192gb lol. If you are ever going to use that much is another question mind you.

First and only warning in this thread - So much of a hint that you're going to illegally obtain software isn't allowed here.
What you do on your machines is none of our business, but there is absolutely no reason to post it on here bragging.

You can talk about Windows 7 without needing to make references to planning to illegally obtain it gents

Tis your opinion but I dont see what I said as illegal, or hinting at illegal activities.

what section of the act would i be breaking if I have legally paid for the software through pre-order and am not making any modifications to it?

Windows Vista and windows 7 "legally" gives you up to 120 days trial out of the box.

To any mods or admins, im not trying to make trouble, im trying to make sense of the accusation. I have over 6,000 posts and am a news reporter and moderator myself at techpowerup.

    .
So if I pre-order some software and then pirate it before it's released i'm legit? Give MS a bell - they'd love to speak to you.

C'mon - we all know better - let's be sensible and just let it drop eh?

I do want to drop it, but thats the bit I'm stuck on why is it pirating? Would it all be 100% legit if I borrow a mates MSDN iso?

If you pre-order then you're buying the right to use the software from October 22nd, not before.

If I pre-pay to rent a Ferrari arriving on October 22nd I'm not legally able to steal a different one from the factory and use it before that date

The part which refers to the copyright act:
