Missed the Amazon £45 one so gone to Play.com, I was in two minds considering I have the RC until next year but I could never go back to XP & it's not ever going to drop below £50 again is it.

My thinking exactly, get it while it's cheap. Did try and get it from Amazon at lunchtime but seemed to have run out of stock so I ordered from Play.com too.

Got mine from Amazon (premium) just after midday..now to wait until October when it arrives.

From Amazon, 2 x HP (Media Centre and the family laptop) and 1 x Pro for my main machine.

Will nab it from Technet for monkeying around with at work once it's available there, so I can get an idea how it'll run at home too.... I briefly toyed with RC on the main machine for a bit, but couldn't live without Directory Opus working on 7, so back to Vista for now.

It works for me - just don't use the explorer replacement mode and all is fine. You can still invoke it via dblclick on the desktop or from the taskbar, just not Win + E.

"While stocks last" is the key point. There's only so many that MS want to sell at the lower price in order to build momentum and good PR
