No, I don't think so. Bitcoin is only on Radeon cards, which are useless for folding. And as I've found out, bitcoin doesn't lower the PPD at all. For several days I've tried running both, no noticeable decrease in PPD.
...unless folk stop folding and just do bitcoin.
I've dropped by over 100kppd as servers have come out of test into production environments. As we move forward, we are looking to go further into the virtual route, meaning that more and move of these servers wont be available to me.
The good side is that the virtual host servers we are looking at will be 4 hexicores processors (so around 64 threads in windows) plus 192Gb Ram. Should be pretty decent folders......
One of my bigadv servers picked up a wu worth 118967 credits over the weekend..... Project 2684 so worth looking out for if you run bigadv servers.
Yowsers! That's a lot of points!
How long does it purport to take to process in comparison to the usual ones?
With all things being equal I'll be doing the points updates tomorrow family visits permitting. I've only recently discovered the stats download service on Extreme overclocking. I've dropped a note on their forums to see if there's any way of automating this data extracting process because if I can do that, then I can automate the full process with a few vba scripts in Excel and then all I have to do is write up the observations....
If anyone else wants to lend any support, then the please mosey on over to http://forums.extremeoverclocking.co...d.php?t=355177 and post your support....

appears to be the same time in processing. 29hrs per unit according to the server.
Lost about 8 hours of folding last night as some of the servers couldn't pick up any work packets... Seems a few of the IP's have changed recently.
Right, why do I have points? I haven't opened a client for a few weeks, so who has suddenly been folding for me?
Your biggest fan, probably? Who might that be?
someone trying to bring you back to the fold (get it )

Cool.
Now, are you going to hit 15 million before I hit 30 million? the race is on lol

Yay! I win! I minor victory for me!
Now I'm only HALF as good as you
In other news I'm starting to compile the folding stats. Back in a couple of hours I'm not going to do April and May in isolation, but as a bi-month. It'll take me too long to work out who folded in each month, and besides, it's georgeous outside...
#Edit# Due to the construct of the data, I'm having to do it as individual months. I'll put up the stats later as it's taking AGES. Seems we have picked up lots of new starters or people who've only folded a short time. This should be addressed when I move over to my new spreadsheet from next month as I've found a way to find out who was new since the last time, automatically, but it'll mean re-building my data and writing some VBA
L8rs!
