so shadow did you have a good nap then?
so shadow did you have a good nap then?
Not really. Liverpool have had a lot of luck in these games against Chelsea over the last few years, by the law of averages, Chelsea were due a bit.
Why Riise didn't just hoof it out though I don't know.
THat is one thing that has pissed me off a lot.
Since 2005 chelsea fans harp on about the goal that never was. watch the incident again. If a goal hadnt been given it should have been pulled back for a penalty and a red card on the keeper.
Now what would they rather have 1-0 down with 11 men and 86 minutes to play or 10 men with 86 minutes to go and a penalty to defend.
In the 2 semi finals against chelsea they created hardly any chances.
about time liverpool had some bad luck
yea i found watching sweet 16 on mtv more entertaining then last nights match and thats shocking!
welll good luck to whoever wins that tie but tonights tie will be alot more entertaining. its no wonder why the yanks think football/soccer is boring, because not many teams play like arsenal.
hope liverpool and chelsea can entertain abit next time round
Wasn't that bad of a game. Liverpool clearly were the more consistent team. I feel Liverpool are going threw.
same thing happened with arsenal in the last round and look where they are now consistancy or outplaying your opponent doesnt get you through to the next round. you liverpool fans should know that hehe.
lets see if liverpool can beat chelsea. you cant beat them all the time, one day they have to beat you in a cup competition right?
BBC SPORT | Football | Europe | Bemused Benitez blames official
Is Rafa the new Wenger?
What an advertisement for the english game that wasn't. If english clubs are set to "dominate" europe with that tripe then it really worries me about the state of football.
Let's hope united give barca a good game of football tonight.
yea partly the reason why i want arsenal to win the champions league besides the obvious biase opinion is because it would do good for the english game knowing that a team like arsenal who spent next to nothing building a team that plays breath taking football would send out a message to the whole of football that you do not need to buy ready made world class players like ronney for 20+million, torres, ronaldo, nani, drogba etc.
right now it seems the more money you have, the more likely your gunna win a trophy which is sad imo. if arsenal mananage to win it next season then i dont see why teams like blackburn, fulham, everton etc cant compete either because essentialy arsenal have spent equal if not less then the clubs mentioned above on players.
who was fabregas when we first bought him? rvp? ade? who where they and how much they cost? nothing. and because they wasnt world class players they could of easily gone to a club like everton.
i hope that the future for football is not about buying the most expensive players but nurturing and creating world class players and a world class team. Cappello could realy learn alot from wenger. if wenger was the english coach, england would be one of the best teams in the world
Fact is that Liverpool have been riding their luck in this competition. To win it, you need a bit of luck, but Liverpool used all theirs up in the group stages and vs Arsenal.
Im DEFINITELY not a Man-yoo fan but Ferguson was right when he said ' Utd vs Barcelona is the match that wouldve been the best final'.
Whatever your opinion on Man-Yoo, at least they are entertaining to watch unlike that drivel last night.
Henry is going to put out Utd out the he's going to win it against Chelski.
