Ahh co-op Want to do it on expert...its really quite tough

Friendly fire is one of the biggest problems on expert, its pretty hard to find a reliable team.

Any 360 owners here up for some co op / verses this weekend on either saturday or sunday? I'd also like to try and have a stab at doing expert on the campaigns

nope, good old single player with 3 AI bots on your team

plus i would have thought the survival update would have a survival single player mode too

Well, the curse of games publishers/developers trying to stop pirates but inflicting pain on legitimate purchasers has struck again !

L4D is near impossible to play on a LAN, Valve have decided that you can only start a local server in L4D if you are connected to the Internet !. Place Steam in offline mode and all you can do is play a single player game.

i play l4d using hamachi with np,works fine,
vs mode also playable

LoooooooooooooooooooooooooooL! just had an epic game with TAKTAK and Main. The way the game ended had me in stitches, who knew the tank could fit in the helicopter... Yes, I as tank was in the helicopter with TAKTAK and Main.

If you guys reading are still unsure of buying/playing this game...do it!! It is hilarious when things go right or TERRIBLY TERRIBLY wrong.

Especially with versus, this game is so much better when you play in a team with your mates. Mics are a must, for at least 2 members of the team.

Yea I was playing VS with some friends the other day and even though I'm no 'pro' I was on the mic saying little things like 'Ok, everyone heal up, then we'll throw a pipe and run for it' and just that little bit of coordination makes everything work so nicely . Loads of the time on public servers one person will run off to 'explore' whilst someone else is trying to rush through the map and then I end up trying to cover people to make sure they don't get picked off by hunters (I play VS 90% of the time because it's more lulzy)

Versus has to be done with friends, or at least 1 other person your team that you know, and can communicate with on the mic.
Its absolute rage worthy if you just join a random vs server and expect to win/do well/not get rolled.

not necessarily, I play on random servers most of the time unless friends are actually online, and it normally doesn't go too badly

I'm really interested in this game but is it worth £26? How many missions are there? What are the game modes like? is the COOP mode humans vs AI zombies? What is the re-playability of it?

There are 4 campaigns to do vs zombie AI.

Versus is the same as campaign other than you get a score AND each team takes turns being survivors/humans.

Replay value? Alot! I still smile to myself (and I'm sure TAKTAK does) over the epic battle on 4am Sunday morning....me the tank climbing INTO the rescue helicopter with TAKTAK and Main...and panic ensues! Other scenes are when things just happen so well...such as your zombie team takes out the entire survivor team just outside the safe room door (start point).

It is annoying when you random join a server for VS, you're trying to get your bearings as to whats going on and then someone says you are a n00b and kicks you.

It does look like fun, I'll see if I can convince a couple of mates to get it as well. Did you buy a hard copy or did you download through steam?

Yup the DLC adds new campaigns (2 i think) as well as a new mode (survival mode)

2 really awsome events stick out in my mind, Tank in the chopper, and Tank flattening 2 of us walking out of spawn with a tree

Yep, though I think I think the DLC is to expand the Versus to use all 4 campaigns and introduce Survivor mode. At the moment Versus is supposedly limited to No Mercy and Blood Harvest however me and TAKTAK have played Dead Air in Versus (though the game really didnt like it and there are areas that have missing textures).

I got my copy through steam so it took a few hours with my silly slow connection You don't HAVE to play with mates however its all the more gratifying when you take down your friends (or work with your friends to take down the enemy team).

This is why I have never been able to get into counter stirke, whenever I tried to play it I got booted or team killed then booted... that was right back with the original CS, so I gave up and I've never played it since.

Think I might invest in Left4Dead it does look like a lot of fun.
