I've only been playing it for 3 weeks, and I'm still on the 'will not play other games' learning curve.

Very good fun, a bit like TF2, but darker.

Try playing the campaign mode (players vs AI) on a lower difficulty setting to get used to it.
Then don't do what I did - join up with friends who've played it since it came out, and will not ONLY play on expert.

PS. each campaign is split into 5 or so levels, with a save point at the end of each. Some of the levels are realy big!

Campaign is alright for getting achievements and working out routes as a survivor. In normal campaign game you can rush huge sections of it and finish the level quickly. Versus is alot trickier - last night me and TAKTAK were on Blood Harvest and even though we as infected mullered the other team early on in the final chapter we couldn't survive until the rescue vehicle arrived...the tank got us in the end.

Ahh and the Witch isn't so bad now - getting a few single shot kill moments, though few and far between; with some patience and practise it'll be easier.

last night me and TAKTAK were on Blood Harvest and even though we as infected mullered the other team early on in the final chapter we couldn't survive until the rescue vehicle arrived...the tank got us in the end.

The best technique for the Blood Harvest finale is to go up to the top floor of the barn outside, and then have each team member get in a corner. Its less fun, but a lot easier. I only tend to use it if the other team are really pissing me off.

Tis what we did however the tank got us...actually the tank just appeared on top of TAKTAK and somehow our other alive team member was on the opposite side of the barn incapacitated by a smoker. So was just me in the top of the barn trying to rescue two people in opposite corners. Unfortunately both players needed "rescuing"...and I got pimp slapped out of the barn. Boo.

Sure as hell not touching Expert mode with 3 AI, clearly zombie related suicide.

Get to the barn, but instead of staying on the floor, stand at the end of the beams, none of the normal infected can get to you, they just run and fall off. You are slightly exposed to smokers but you should be ok.

Nope...the minigun placement is sooo dodgy...I stay away from there like the plague!

There's quite a funny glitch that revolves around it.
Before you use the radio alerting the horde, bash the minigun for just over a minute, then if you jump on top of it you bounce pretty high, and if you've bashed the minigun the correct amount you can end up on top of the plane's wing. But if you bash it too much you end up being propelled to the other side of the map and get incapped by the fall

I'm finding it hard to find a decent server to play the campaign on - most of the time after the level loads my connection times out and I get booted Is this a common issue or cold it be to do with my ports or something?

When I have[ been able to get a good connection it's been pretty epic. I've played with some really unhelpful people but most of the time people are really friendly and willing to play as a team.

Want to play the campaign through before starting versus, great game so far
