Anyway my invitation still stands if you want to reconsider, you can just try out the group and see if you like playing with the people in it and if not you can always leave it heh.

Format I've sent an invite your way, I'll be about tonight if you or anyone else here cares for a game.
Moan...ahh if only a few of these players only moaned instead insults get thrown about and kick is involved or they just shoot the guy in the safe room till he leaves or dies.

But yes, thanks for the invite and I'll take you up on the offer I'll message you on steam via the hexus group thingy.

At the end of the day, it's just a game and it's there for fun as you said.

I'd never do that, I'd kick a player if a mate wanted in on a game but team attacking and stuff like that is lame as hell.

    Re: Left 4 Dead

Interesting games last night with Slpeey head and tak tak... last one we clocked up over 1600 zombies.

Most amusing part was on blood harvest finale where we all hid in the bathroom upstairs, worked quite well... large pile of corpses at the end

But it happens. I remember starting the second map of "No Mercy" on versus and as I was collecting my gun and health the other two were shooting a player till he was down. Those three rage quitted and it was just me and 3 bots against 4 humans. I didn't last long.

I think you, Will and TAKTAK clocked up 1600 zombies There was no way I could get in on the zombie killing action however I was the one that cleared out the Witches properly Oh and at the start of Death Toll, Will was shooting me in the back of the head (I think he needs to work on his aim ). It wasn't on purpose, he was trying to clear the zombies in front of me.

    Sleepyhead/ Tak Tak,

Either you got "untouchables" yet? I have an idea of how to get it on Dead Air... I'll explain later if your both on steam.

We'll probably fail epically a few times but it could be fun.

Epic fail is the BEST fail!

I'd like to watch a film when I get in so won't be on STEAM till around 8pm or so; if you can wait till then...

I haven't really tried to get the untouchables; though would love to do expert but with NON-randoms (who tend to shoot you in the back).

    Re: Left 4 Dead

I played with some randoms yesterday and there was a dutch chap who had some interesting ideas and different ways of doing things.

On the finale we all sat together on an embankment and it was only because of a few bad shots that any zombies got anywhere near us. Obviously the tank was tricky but I reckon with a bit more planning you could quite easily get through it. One person should defo use the hunting rifle because of the range.

the other thing the guy did was at the bit with the van in the luggage collection area, we actually hid upstairs and barricade ourselves into a room by bashing tables and chairs against the entrances. Not one zombie got in to us.

That is just plain cheese - just like hiding in a cupboard It's ok when doing it on expert as friendly fire is the biggest pain on expert. With the van bit, it's more fun to get the van to "push" you past the fence and just run to the luggage collection area and advance through the game. Just don't let TAKTAK run through the metal detection bit again.

When you call for the crane to lower the crate (so it becomes a sort of bridge to get to the next building), you can mooch about the roof knocking the zombies off and when the crate is low enough, run, jump climb up and over and advance the game I do it all the time and it annoys the other players who just want to sit and kill zombies all day long (and run out of ammo).

    Re: Left 4 Dead

hiding in the bathroom in the farm hose was funny though, such a mess when by the time we'd finished.

We have convinced someone else to buy the game, he isn't the most alert of people when it comes to FPSs so we'll spare you the experience of playing with him... needless to say he will need to be rescued a lot.

Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

Ahh invite him along the perfect guinea pig for when TAKTAK and I run off and see how many zombie hordes are attracted to him.

To be fair, L4D campaign is in such a way that team work is the key to success and not individual skills. Even if he has poor FPS skills/reflex as long as he can listen and follow simple instructions then all is good.

this is true, so long as he can shoot straight and doesn't think he can one-man mission it like on UT or something we'll be fine.

I hope we get some nice new weapons with the DLC... I hear there will be a flame thrower, personally I'd like to see some kind of melee weapon like a baseball bat so I can get medieval with the horde

Next thing you guys want a spy and a medic too and REALLY turn it into TF2 with zombies

I'd really like a chainsaw in L4D or maybe forgo all weaponry and use your fists to pummel them!
