omg i thought this thread has gone its course. Oh well lets stir things up a bit. TH scored for Barca on his first game for them (I know it was a penalty, so don't say it doesn't count)

Plus wasn't you going to show us a picture of your FA qualification, seeing as you have one, or was you just joking?

i thought this thread was coming back at the end of the season, not with every goal you score past a sleepy defence in the "emirates cup"

oh well at least youv won something this season!

not many can score goals like rvp and its not the firstr time he scored a brillient goal before. all im saying is that he is our main striker. before it was henry, now its van da man.

you say he scored againts a sleep defence, LOL study the gif image again, the defence wasnt sleeping, rvp had to do some magic to score that goal. you realy are low aint ya madduck. You cant admit a good goal can you? typical football noob.

take note that rvp is a natural left footer (i doubt you knew that) so to score that on his right foot with that power and accuracy is pretty cool.

im not gunna revive this thread everytime we score a goal, i just posted that to tell people that rvp is the one who will take henry's place in terms of being our main striker.

At reyes, he is just has bad has henry, if not worse actualy. his attitude realy is to be questioned. here is an example(reyes said to the media than HE made real madrid champions)

Now thats great team spirit eh?

well i would hope not, even a mediocre forward should score a descent goal now and again eh?

85th minute goal, two defenders following each other off in the same direction while the keeper only makes a half arsed attempt to stop it until the balls past him, if he had spread his arms he would have had a descent chance of stopping it. RVP just capitalised on someone else's mixup

This thread is getting beyond silly now. These are replies I'd expect from kids in the play ground, not members of hexus!

Honestly Josh, that just comes across as "I think I know more than you, ner ner ner". Give it a break dude.

it was aimed at modduck has he cant appreciate a good goal when he see's one it seems.

madduck you do know that some great goals are due to errors in defenders/goalie's?. i agree that almost any goal can be prevented but come on madduck dont you think that was a good goal?

lets stop the bickering and talk sence here for once and i wont talk as if i know more than you guys ok? back on topic who thinks it was a good goal?

I don't care who it was aimed at. It comes across as childish and silly. Do you really think posting comments like that help your cause?

Besides, a good goal is entirely subjective. Just because you think it was, doesn't mean its fact mate.

whether it was a great goal or not is not the topic (and since you ask, in my opinion it was an ok goal, nothing earthshattering). I expect this kind of argument from certain fans of certain teams *cough*Newcastle*cough* but until now not Arsenal fans.

    Best. Thread. Evar.

A good striker as we've discussed in this thread is someone who is going to put away his chances and score 20 goals a season. You really think Robin Van Persie is capable of that?, given that arsenal will be facing organised solid walls of 4 defenders and 4 midfielders trying to stiffle their play all season?.

I'm happy as anyone to say i'm wrong if he or any of the other Arsenal players do score that many, but i doubt it will happen.

    Only time will tell.

all im saying is that out of all of our strikers he is the only one that stands a chance of scoring 20+ goals for us. he has more chance than the likes of adabayor. You never know ade might come good this season. look what happen to drogba in his first two seasons at chelsea, he was utter crap but now look at him, his banging in goals for fun but i still dont rate him has a world class striker though..
