I doubt it - that happens on speedtest sometimes, it reports a far greater speed than you actually have probably due to caching. E.g, I'm on 10 meg:


Actual download speed was 10 meg, tested on several downloads. Cable companies set the maximum speed on your modem and unless something goes wrong you'll never get higher bandwidth than what's assigned to you.

Malmö is right down the southern end of Sweden so gives a higher latency but higher throughput:


These results are on a 50Mbps down/10Mbps up connection through cable ISP "Com Hem".

lol got problems with my line atm, sucks, pings are massive issue and throughput is lacking. just thought that random result was funny

Tested on a few different servers and get nothing different other than a few ms on the ping, b/w identical on all uk servers..

Speedtest seems to always give me whacky results. I "only" get 1.3MB/s from steam.
