    Re: EVE-Online

I have played this game over the last 12 months with two accounts paying with isk. Of late however I found the amount of lag caused by huge battles drove me away from wanting to really continue playing. Sad really as the concept of the game is amazing perhaps its just a bit of burn out on my part, but of late I tend to only log in to change skills around

Me and Jay were chatting about this in game....it's insane.

The auto pilot is missing entire jumps. A route I plotted had over 10,000 jumps - and even then I wasn't at my destination.

By default the Autopilot will now avoid Jita (good)....but, if you want to go to Jita, you can't just set it as your destination.....because it's set to avoid it by default. You know, you'd think if I bloody set the destination as Jita I want to go there! You have to remove it from your avoided systems, then re-plot it.

There are jumps on the star-map that do not exist. From the eve forums: "Aldranette <-> Manjonakko is shown as an inter-region jump on the map, but no such gates are listed as appearing in those systems." This causes the AP to go insane.

Some jumps between systems are not even there in the starmap any more.

The "show market details" bug is still not fixed even though they said it would be

Entire stations have gone from menus- if you think I'm joking, check the eve forums.

I've been to Amarr today to get some drones for EB - The market is unusable. Selling and buying was giving me nothing but errors for about an hour. Every time I made a transaction i would need to log out to get the items.

The 1.1.1 patch breaks Linux compatibility in both their official client (Client crashes when EvE loses focus) and WINE. Same issue present in both.

The "accept quote" window is really screwed up now - look at how much free space there is.

Loads of ghost ships - to quote for Eve forums again: "- huge numbers of 'ghost ships' instead of wrecks, including pods (all look like empty ships, even the pods get the "board ship" option)"

Oh, patch 1.1.2 is out tomorrow....lets see how many they fix

Yes and no. You can start small and learn only what you need for a given situation - combined with a healthy dose of paranoia and it'll do you fine. As you move up the money situation you'll naturally expand out of your first few areas and learn more as you go along.

    Re: EVE-Online

How do you guys pay for your subscription

I think it works out cheaper using Game Time Code's, $35 for 2 months, i checked out some of the recommended sites on Eve website but dont know which one to use, does anyone else use GTC's to subscribe?
