recent ones of the eye & big ben. didn't have my tripod on me this time, next time i'll try a long exposure.

This is a photo I entered for the bristol uni photo competition. I won the fortnightly competition but unfortunately not the main one. Still got printed in the uni newspaper though which was nice.

EDIT: They look a bit blurry on here but the originals are very sharp (i suspect it's the resizing) - the second is my current desktop background

Second and third ones look good whiternoise, they look sharp to me. Colours on the first one are too saturated for my tastes (lol coming from the Oly shooter I know).

I agree that the first one looks too unnatural.
My first attempt - had a bit of a play around with the colour balance and sharpened it up a bit but it's still too dark in the foreground:
My second attempt - foreground looks a lot better but the sky is completely washed out now. Actually ended up 'blurring' it again - reducing the noise:
