HSK.. If you photoshop that plane out, that'll be an amazing shot! The sky looks beautiful. There's an expert predator perched on a tree and it's gonna kill something, nothing much cooler than that!
I love it ..
Kushtibari.. Went for a swim afterwards I presume? . Did you touch the bottom? . Lovely photo!

I think the plane adds to it - big bird and little bird.
Matty - it was cold enough on dry land and its a bloody cold tarn.
GSte - you are looking across to Mardale Ill Bell, Nan Bield Pass and Harter Fell (going from right to left).

Yep, I purposely tried to get the plane in the exposure, felt it added a little something to the shot.
I like the plane in the shot too, adds a bit of depth to it.

Late evening shot from the other night, just before it got properly dark.

Trying to get to grips with my new camera.
It was 2.5 sec at f10
Annoyingly I'd just put all my stuff away and the clouds went amazing for a minute or two - streaky, dark, menacing. Would have looked great with a long exposure.
A few photos I got at Carlisle Castle about an hour ago. First photos I'm actually proud of tbh. I really need to meet someone else who uses a DSLR to try and get some tips off them.

Very interesting artwork. What software did you use?
I used Photoshop for the Cursing Stone one and Photomatix and Photoshop for the second and third.
I was up in mid wales the other day and had an opportunity to take some sky shots. Alas, even after about 10 minutes the lens had all misted up, so the other photos I took were fairly poor and this one came out all soft, but it's a start. Hopefully I'll be able to go back in summer and try to take another similar one when it's a bit warmer.
Anyone have any tips on how to keep a lens mist free when using long exposures (30 minutes plus) and it's a little nippy out?
