LOVE those shots Roxor, definitely trying that, even though I don't have remote flash (but I do have a reflector I haven't used yet)

Darn Lightroom 3 beta.. making me want to buy new software.. but also making me want more editing controls too! And I need more ram
Forgot the effect close focus has on DoF :/
A scaled image doesn't do the sharpness justice for the following shot - I thought 1:1 pixel sharpness was impossible with AA filters...
edit: sorry, it produces quite heavy jpgs too :/
Not quite sure if I like this one which I took a couple of months ago, or not.
Can't work out what the whitish wispy thing in the background was either - must have been a tree but it looks odd.
Love the daffodils - not too dark for me either.

Is it just me or is the guy in your photo a bit on the short side bobster?
I went to the Mini show at Brooklands today. They have a 1:8 hill which they let people drive up in a little session, so it draws crowds for a short time. Apparently the trick to getting a good view is to use a tripod and a big lens. Last year I had my 400D and 28-135mm but had loads of people over 6 feet bundling in front of me. This year I had my 50D, Sigma 50-500mm and a tripod and I had no one in front, and most people ducked as they walked past. The 50-500mm was quite sharp today, as long as I look at the photos at less than 70%.

That's not tyre smoke!
These people waiting to go next got in my way, so I stole their photo.
There was a really annoying power cable halfway up the hill, which lined up with the top so in some shots it was in a position that I could crop out, and in others it was right across the cars as they went over the crest.
Made it!
More smoke.
Hung out at Wellesbourne Mountford airfield this morning
