I have been using MIUI for a while and its great but i thought i would go back to sense for a while. Thought i would go for Leedroid as its the most popular but im having a lot of issues getting my SDCard to partition for it (as you need 1GB EXT3 at the end and the rest FAT32). I have used G-Parted to create the two paritions but for some reason once i boot up the phone or windows it just doesnt recognise it at all... very strange.

Formats back to Fat32 no problems.

Apparently HTC have now back tracked and will attempt to provide 2.3 for the desire.

Not yet - I'll wait for the usual suspects to see if there is any Kernel updates / anything important and wait for them to integrate it into their stripped down version

They seem to have rather a lot of disclaimers in the download for it......a bit concerning.
Am also inclined to wait for a bit myself.

It seems to be stripped down - and not a new version of sense. It's 'Developer only' too, for some reason it can't go OTA. I'm not sure what improvements it's bringing, but people seem to be saying there's less space on the handset RAM now, and it's a bit slower. I think I'll just stick to Froyo...

Finally got Lee Droid to work! Admittedly i did buy a new SD card and make a new GParted disk to get it done but hey...

So far so good but my word it takes a while to boot up the first few times!

Now that the 2.3 RUU is out, has anyone updated?

If so, can you let me know what you a) gain and b) lose with the update?

I'm thinking about doing the upgrade but don't want to lose out, or end up with a phone that's worse than when I started...

ICS port yes, but no Sense 4.0.
