Any idea what it will OC to? My mobo can't under volt unfortunately though. My stuff is is storage ATM as I'm moving house but I might downgrade my X6 and a decent clocking 965 might do me fine, it would also bump up WUs for some lucky folder

Since it's second-hand (got it from a fellow folder for free), I know it's capable of 3.9GHz full whack; but that's obviously with a raised voltage. Trying with stock now - I only have the patience to try it out from Windows (Gigabyte's Easytune), but still.
If you're thinking of switching, check my location - might be tricky
Oh I realised that, but thought it might be an option once my move is sorted & if its worth it. I'll let you know if I decide to downgrade
Oh and FYI, just checked, at stock voltage it's stable up to 3.6GHz (3.7GHz fails folding after a couple of minutes).
Stats should go up next weekend, otherwise.....
still folding.

new version of eVGA precision is out -they've FINALLY including a voltage tweaker.
I never liked the interface for MSI Afterburner.
Have upped my GPU folding clocks from 785/2100 to 825/2100 with the vcore now set at 1.1v instead of the default of 1v on one card an 1.075 on t'other,
so far so good. gtx 480 sli folding goodness thus far (1hour)...

I managed to get my GTX460 from 675/1350@1v to 875/1750@0.975v upped the memory from 900 to 1060 (3600 to 4240 effective) though I think there may be a greater overclock on this card with some overvolting, I am happy with it right now.

Mine looks to be wobbling a bit, but so far no NAN's. Going to take the dog out for a walk and leave the rig working for a couple of hours to see if all is well.
At the default voltage, 785 was as far as I could go for folding - it would fail. As I'm under water, and I know that the VRM's on the 480's are pretty solid, I'm not too unhappy with that. I can bench up to 840, but that's not stable for long term use.

Correction. Now has NAN's. Voltage up to 1.138...

Back from walking dog - still folding. Am at 820 instead of 825 @ 1.138 v and it looks much more stable - the graphs in eVGA Precision are steady at 99% on both GPU's instead of just one. Am going to leave running this weekend to try an crack the 2m points mark this month.
Wife's rig died last weekend, so am assembling a new one for her to surf t'interweb and bank on. i7 950 on a P6T instead of an E8600. It's only the hard drive that's gone in the old rig, but it's high time she upgraded and contributed a bit more meaningfully to my folding project!
The other reason is to get her up onto Win 7 so we can use the homegroup functionality on all machines. Her old rig was on Vista (OEM copy) and as I had an OEM copy already registered to the P6T that's better for me.
old rig'll go on fleabay and the forums. It's not done too bad consider it's been folding 24/7 for the last 2 years. Only had to replace the PSU in it. Those shuttles are cracking bits of kit and it'll be sad to see it go.
... then I can get back on with my media centre rig project. Never seem to be able to get started on that bad boy. Doh!!!

This is Tatty your talking about.
She'll still moan that it's too bloody slow.
The things I do for folding. This is the most efficient use of my kit, and brings me up to date on Win 7 now on all my machines.

Welcome to the Millionaires lounge!

The first million is always the hardest. Seems to take forever for some reason.
Keep up the with excellent work rate.
Any chance you could add some of your details over on the MEET THE FOLDERS THREAD?
Hexus seems to be having a good month so far. Up to 4,459,768 points this month, and we only achieved 4,487,741 last month, and that was a 31 day-er. With 3 more days to go, and our average sitting at 180k I make that and additional 540k, ie that we should just be under 5 million on the month.
Not bad considering everyone's points are down due to the lack of BIGADV work units.
