Rung up twice so far, and I think that they've probably had a few people chasing, based on their response. Bit dramatic for customer services though

Looks like my self imposed ban on buying computer hardware lasted 3 days this year. I've got an exam this week (Microsoft Certification) so I'll be back on the folding case straight back after that.

I do forget just how long routing cables and tubing takes. Since I moved to compression fittings, everything is taking 10 times longer!

I am preventing myself from buying a sandy bridge upgrade to replace my E8400 that I have at the moment. A little too expensive at the moment even if it would help my ppd count.

I too am fighting the urges.... It ends up that I now have:

    1x970 i7
    1x980x i7
    1x950 i7
    2x920 i7
    1xQ6600
    1xE8500
    plus laptop

and I only have the 980i, E8500 and laptop working at the moment, which is a bit of an excessive "spares" list. I did promise myself I'd pay off my credit card this year, which is going to be difficult at best. Can't wait to get stuck into building all of them!

I was always intending to. I'm a classic case of someone who never gets round to finishing things. Kinda why I'm breaking the current pc project (Project "Boreas") into sections where I can get the main PC up without having to finish my home made Boreas unit. Must take some pictures otherwise that'll be another project log missed...

Now I've got my server up and running, I'm loathed to take it down, especially as when I have part finished work units. I've just finished backing up the 1.6 TB of data so just waiting for a window of opportunity now... Preferably when I don;t have a hangover like yesterday....

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

I've got a 6900 unit running on my 980i (Bigadv), a 10504 and a 5782 on my GTX 295. On my wife's shuttle I've a 10200 unit on my E8500 and a 5784 on the 9600GT. They're all running about the usual levels giving me a combined output of 47k-51k on FAHMon depending on when the readings are taken...

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

I'm still recovering from that stupid 250k unit I got a few days - AFAICT it was worth close on 4,500 points, but took the better part of two days to get through

Looking back at the month, if I can push my output up a little bit I can get a third consecutive month of > 100% points growth. To hit that I need to make another 42K points in 11 days, so ~ 4kppd continuously. Going to have to fire up something at home, I think...
