When I get round to spring cleaning my computer, I will pop the heatsink off and apply new compound in a thiner layer than it no doubt is in, and will tinker about with it some more.
The reason I keep it at 835 rather than 850ish is at that speed the fan is noticeable, whereas at a couple of mhz lower it is a degree or two cooler and silent, may setup a custom fan profile and try to undervolt it a bit to bump it up a little more.

That's a bit of motivation to keep going, along with the fact that I'm getting so many 500K WUs.

Which client is it?
originally it was gpu2 6.23 console, then tried 6.23 system tray. same problem
I ran that card with 197 drivers (i think) and it ran well with the GPU2 console client. Weird that it was working, did you change anything?
nope nothing was thinking about overclocking then this happened, client said unstable before though which is weird. i'll look into it
Hmmmm, my GPU PPD has halved for no apparent reason. Still on the same old 1348 point/P6801 WUs GPU running at full speed... tried restarting the PC, notched down the OC a bit, deleted the work folder + queue.dat... running out of ideas!
and one of my big adv servers has been reallocated as of this morning. Looks like our teams ppd's is going to be falling is everyone is having these issues.
Try deleting the work units and all the details that accompany it (unitinfo, queue.dat, FAHlog-Prev, FAHlog, client, and the entire Work folder).
It looks like it's trying to use a piece of code that is associated with a wu that you were processing, but couldn;t, and is trying to resume IMO.

Mine's still running normally as far as I can tell. I've no details on the actual units it's running as I'm at work, and I don;t trust my wife to be able to look without shopping etc...

In other news, I finished plumbing in my SLI GTX 480 rig last night, and leak tested. It leaked. When it didn;'t leak, the flow rate was so dire that it was basically just a trickle.
Going to have to go with plan B - do twin loops

Well, in a desperate attempt to hit a third consecutive 100% increase in points this month, I started off the GPU client on Kali last night. I figure if I run it for a week it shouldn't make too big a hit on my electricity bill, and should net me an extra 4-5k ppd. Just as well really, since my SMP client's picked up a 250k unit which means slooooowwww progress...
In other news, it's almost payday, which should (hopefully) mean I can Project Cunning Plan up and running again Then the little burst of folding activity will be using two overclocked 8800GTXs and should give a nice bump in pointage.
Be prepared for lots of whinging about how I can't get both GPUs folding in a month or so's time
Try keeping this book marked. It works for me with twin GTX 480s and my GTX 295 (even though the 480's are not working presently...)
