I must increase my ppd then!
Congrats on the 2nd place!

Congrats on the 2nd place!
Oooh, should only be a couple of weeks before I hit the top 20!
One of these days I'll have to fold at home, rather than at work, though
Just spotted that you hit the 800k landmark this month. Well done!
The ITX multimedia board is now running f@h. Q6600 @ 3ghz - The ION chipset was getting a bit hot so put a fan on that. The CPU's only hitting 60C folding on 4 cores with an Asus Triton CPU cooler so looks like I'll be fine with that once I custom mod the waterblocks so that they fit. I'm hoping that with the right fans I can get the CPU and GPU through a single 2.120 radiator to keep the rig cool. Maybe I'm all hopes and nothing else.... After all, If 1stRaven can get hit CPU@4500mhz cooled using just a single rad, then surely 2 should suffice for a GPU and CPU, especially if I don;t fold on the CPU ongoing....? Any thoughts?
The reason for a single 2.120 rad is that I want this to be mounted in a shuttle rig box. If it doesn't cool it, I can also add an additional external 120mm rad as well, but that would compromise the aesthetics that I'm trying to achieve... I guess that's for the project log though.

depends if you're looking for low temps or acceptable temps. I reckon a 2x120 will be fine if you just want to keep everything "cool enough" ...

That'll do for me.
I'd like to be able to fold on CPU and GPU on there when I need to push for points, but I'd like the main contributor to be the 8800 GTX folding 24/7 @ 75% load so that the box. That way no-one will really know if the box is doing anything while they watch streamed movies, Youtube, buy shoes, gems or other fleabay items.
Thanks Jim! Any ETA on your cunning plan?

Not really. I've negotiated contracts with work, I'm going self-employed part time at the end of September, and whilst there was meant to be some time and money for me to finish it off this summer I'm not sure how that's going to pan out, since I'll be dropping 40% of my wages in 2 month's time.
I really should try to make some progress this summer though, since it's been pushing a year that I've been doing this...

T'is the holiday season, and I'm going to be taking advantage of that fact for the next week. My server's in bits (with my master spreadsheet file on it) awaiting a rebuild and I've no time before my holdiays, so I'm getting the apologies in early. Will do a bumper one when you crazy kids are getting ready to go back to school at the end of august. I've downloaded the stats so that I've got them, so I'm half way there.
I did notice that we have 2 very strong performers this month, and 2 newer entries who are flying up the charts:
ScaryJim has recently discovered using someone elses leccy bill to fold and pumping out the points. Joshwa looks like he got the GTX 460 working with the massively increased output since 22nd July. Very well done guys! Both going nicely up the rankings...
RedDragon and Buttonina have continued their push of 10k+ points per day since the last stats update. Come and tell us a bit about your rigs and yourselves folks.....

Blimey. It's very quiet around here. Anyone got any news? Just back from holidays myself, and my replacement Sabertooth P67 board is sitting on the side teasing me. Will start looking at that this week. I've had my ITX media centre board folding this past week. a Q6600 O/C to 3Ghz (air) and a GTX 8800 @ 75% load (for heat reasons) and that's not even wobbled in the 7 days it's been up now. Going to get my server re-built and then turn my attention back to the media rig. Think I'm about ready for the weather to turn so that I can start heating the house with my rigs again...
It looks like we're at our lowest point production rate now, with only 17 active folders.... I do hope that this is not a direct result of me not being able to get the stuff out in a timely fashion the past couple of months....?
Anyone got any ideas how we can get a "back to skool" push on? I know several of the guys are off to uni so we should (hopefully) see them come back on board come term time, and good folks like Queelis are travelling the world broadening his horizons.... anyone else got any recruitment drive ideas?

Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Get well soon mate! You already got an AM3+ compatible board, or does movign to 'dozer mean you'll be refreshing the entire guts?

I doubt it's the lack of figures, as you mention there is uni and travel from main contributors, for me I've just fell out of the loop as I'm barely on my main rig anymore and currently trying to move house so it's very low on my list of priorities I'm afraid
Sorry I've been slacking so much on the folding front.
We have been having work done to the house so with high temperatures in general and dust etc flying all around the house I haven't wanted to do 24/7 running.
I'm afraid I have nothing to fold on any more really.... not sure what an i5-2410m would pull but I imagine no more than 3 or 4k ppd. The 6650m won't do anything anyway.
My main rigs turned off today - hoping that someone will come around and fix the tumble drier which was tripping the fuse box. Managed to get most of the server re-build done last night. Am leak testing now - hopefully no puddles when I get home tonight... There was nothing overnight.

Yeah, I'm still reading around
I've already found a person from whom I might buy a Thermalright Genesis when I get back - that should cool my X4 pretty nicely. We'll see how that goes.
Otherwise I'll just buy a Mugen 2. Or I might end up selling my X4 and buying an X6 1090T - since it roughly uses the same amount of electricity.
I know that particular Phenom is capable of 3.9GHz, so all might be good
Congradulations to
Golden_Dragoon on hitting the 8m milestone (12th Aug)
scaryjim on hitting the 900k milestone (12th Aug)
The_Wheelhouse on hitting the 150k milestone (10th Aug)
and finally hexus-joshwa on hitting the 2m milestone (6th Aug)
Very well done guys! Anyone else out there going to hit a major milestone soon? I'm closing on 20m but wont get there until a bit later this month, dependant on when I can get my Server back into commission...
