SMP 4 does not change anything. Maybe its an easy unit. Its effectively a quad PII.

have you get CPU affinity set on your boinc process? It sounds like the folding is basically just scheduling threads on whatever core is available at the time: if you've only got 2 cores spare then I wouldn't expect switching from 3 threads to 4 to make any difference, as they'll be time-slicing the same amount of CPU resources.
Impressed by the numbers you're getting though: Like I said, I have a quad core opteron at 2.5GHz which spends pretty much all its time folding and it's a lot slower than your rig...
EDIT: here's some info on the 10424 project the WU comes from. Units are only worth 194 points, so must be quick to fold. My current 2M (project 6020) is worth 426 for comparison!
HMMMMM.... Apparently 10424 uses the newer A4 core which fahwiki doesn't list as SMP, which again might explain why you're not seeing any difference between -smp 3 and -smp 4. if you're not running an SMP WU it won't count towards your 10 for bonus points (if you don't have them yet) and won't reap bonus points, so it might be worth closing the client down, deleting the 'work' folder, and starting up again to see if you get an SMP WU...

Each of your cores are faster than mine My 2 chuck out a % of a 2M every 24 mins
At 85% now so I'll let it finish; Queelis saying its not so fast would confirm it is probably single core (That or my rig is quite slow. After all those nice things SJ was saying too). Although pausing Boinc shows me activity on two cores.
None of my cores are flat out at 100%. They were when I had all 4 cores on bionc (which has not been set specific cores) and FAH running too.
I get 14 mins/frame on 4 cores at 3.75ghz (give or take).

Look at the points recorded today :S
Log file says my WUs have been sent successfully so I don't know if it's a problem with F@H or, perhaps more likely, a problem with the stats updates at folding.extremeoverclocking.com
Well i'm back in the groove, my couple of K per day should soon hit that hundred million
Just rebooted, and after 80% of project 6702 - 2M with 40 mins per frame, it started from 0%.
2 bleeding days, that had taken........
indeed. HAve now got my i7 950 @ 4Ghz and it's folding BIGADV units, as well as running the 285gtx.
Glad to see the points updating again....

hey, we ranked up again!
Looking at the akes, give it a month or so and we'll be climbing seriously. There appear to be 3 or 4 teams catching us, but we'll net up soon enough everyone.
