You dont have to use a floppy.
Use Winflash or Flashmenu instead.

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

Hello friend,

What option do you try to run?

You know about the vCORE BUG? You said that´s sometimes the PC work´s fine and other don´t... Maybe it´s the vCORE problem...

The vCORE BUG it´s a real problem if you run your CPU with diferent vCORE settings...

Try this one (My currently Daily Use Over) - BIOS 14. Runs ROCK SOLID here, should run fine for you too... Iddle temp´s are incredible, just 32ºC !!

NEW CONFIG2- Daily Use Over (ORTHOS Stable - 12 Hours | Super Pi 32 MB Stable | OCCT Stable)

Clock: 2766 Mhz
FSB: 394 Mhz
PCx: 100Mhz
NB Volt. : 1.43v
CPU VTT: 1.31v
DDR2 Voltage: 1.95v | 5-5-5-15 - 1T
CPU vCORE: Default
LDT Frequency: 4x
EIST: OFF
C1E: ON
Termal Control: OFF

For me seens that 2766Mhz is the limit of my proc with stock voltages... I told you about the vCORE problem, do you know about it?

I changed the Config 2 because i could not run FSB 400 with 5-5-5-15 1T Stable (Super Pi 32 Mb TEST) ..... But with FSB394 and DDR2 with 1.9v seens to solve the problem... At this clock and timmgs my PC run´s very fast.. Very close to the X6800 in the sintetic bench´s....

Regard´s

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

Hei Guys,

ABIT Sean told us that´s BIOS 15 is a UPDATE, not an BUG FIX...

So this BIOS UPDATE should alow us to do what? It will be nice if some FSB HOLES work´s fine with this new BIOS...

Anyone ?

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

Hi all,

after reading about people OC'ing E6300 and E6400 processors to 3Ghz and higher, I've started to figure out the "how-to".

After any posting any changes to the CPU the PC stops at booting (Keeps making a lot of sound...). Even just changing the CPU from the default "2133(266)" to "linked" or "unlinked" is a killer. So I'm not changing the FSB, Voltages or other things.)

Changed to PCI-E to 101, didn't help. Manually set the memory to "5-5-5-15", didn't help.

Can anybody help me out? Or give me some hints?

(Running with the "standard" intel cooler. Stupid, I know...)

You've got the same specs (CPU, Memory and (offcourse) MoBo). What BIOS settings do you use??

UPDATE: Weird stuff... Got it running at 2.8 Ghz. What the f**k is it with this thing? Changing the FSB to 350 works. Keeping the FSB at 266 fails. I'm confused :S

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

HELLO !

Well i believe that´s more juice will solve your problem man... And you must know that you will need at least 1.43v on the NB to run FSB 375-444Mhz Stable..... Don´t increase your NB voltage if you are using passive cooling... Please add a 40x40 FAN on the NB heat dissipator and you done ! I recommend BIOS 14 or 15 !

If you memo run 1.8v i sugest that you increase to 1.9v, and the CPU VTT to 1.31v.... Try to maximise your CPU_VTT, sometimes it works very well !

After all those modifications my O.C become ROCK SOLID at FSB394 .... (394*7) = 2766 Mhz....

You must Disable:
C1E
TERMAL MONITOR
EIST

I do believe that you won´t be able to run FSB350+ with stock NB voltage...

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

Got it locked at FSB350, Stock cooler and stock voltage for the NB. Only the Memory and CPU voltages are cranked up a bit. Been running for 4 hours, played BF2 and the Crysis (Beta) and still up!

Idle temp is 50 degree, when busy up to 70... Think I'll get the Zalman ASAP (I'm afraid to run Orthos against it...)

Question 'bout the NB cooling: How do you stick in on the MB? Are there holes and screws? Or some glueing??

BTW: Thanx everybody for the info!

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

Seens pretty good to me but at this clock (350*7 = 2450Mhz) i believe that´s no need to rush your vCORE. Your processor should run 2.4 Ghz ROCK SOLID with stock vCORE. Please dont confused CPU vCORE with CPU VTT.....

It´s really worth a try man, because your iddle and load tem´s are quite high... Try to stay bellow 61º C ...

I don´t know this Zalman ASAP... But i´m going to buy one TermalTake V1...
Here one review ....

Legion Hardware

About the NB there are bigger´s holes on it... You can perfecly put your FAN with 2 Screws... Diagonal position ....

Connect your 40x40 FAN on the SYS FAN1, and just set the FANEQ to control your FAN to run about 2000RPM, low noise and great cooling !

Regard´s

Got a multiplier of 8 (E6400), that makes 2800

I'll take a look at the NB. Anybody got some pics of a cooler connected to it?

For now ordered the "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro" for CPU cooling. Got a nice price/quality... And it's easy to ensemble (The Zalman I was looking for (9700) needs to be extra connected to the MB...).

Sorry man, i was thinking that you have one E6320... Good luck with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro !

My Conroe goes to 2.766Mhz with stock voltage, anything between 2.766 and 3.066 will be stable with 1.41v vCORE...

Another question: Wat is the "LDT Frequency" exactly? What does it do and what are goot settings? (In my case overclocking a E6400 (Currently running 2800Mhz)). Current is still default: 5x

Thanx in advance!

Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

my E6600 does 3.3Ghz @ 1.42V CPU @ 5x LDT maybe i need to reduce this?

right my Q,

Does the FP-IN9 support 4x 1GB RAM Modules?

story - my crucial ballistix kit died, so i bought Geil 2GB Kit in meantime whilst rma'ing Crucial.

when my crucial gets back for the 2nd time (they sent me back 2x512MB Kit by mistake rgrgrgrg) will it work with 4GB 4x1GB Mixed Geil Crucial Pc6400 ram. DDR2 v @ 2.1/2.2V as necessary.

I have Vista 64 Bit Ultimate Edition installed. so No OS problems expected in recognising 4GB in total.
