    Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

CPU stock voltage is 1,325V and he's running 1,350V.
So I guess he added +0,025V to CPU voltage (upped CPU voltage one notch in BIOS)

    Hello There,

I understant now and thank you for the reply, anyway i got to see if is safe to run my CPU VTT in such high voltage (He used 1.58 i believe)...

Are you from Brasil ? I think that i see yours post´s at forum.clubedohardware.com.br

    1.350 is stock for my L2 E6320...

Guess it's just luck. I need more volts for anything above 3.15GHz to be long-term prime-stable, even on my 965P-DQ6, it's just that I don't need any ridiculous vTT increases with the new board (which is actually older...?) than I did on the Abit. Only things I'd advise are firstly, don't forget your vChipset. I needed 1.43v to get it stable at that clock on that board. It would only do so with the RAM at 1:1, no dividers (even the ones that would have run the memory slower) worked and only at 2T. Also try a substantially (10-20MHz) higher FSB, as there are some holes where dividers don't seem to work out on these boards.

965 & nF6xxi are totally different designs with differnt behaviour/needs.
vTT is FSB termination voltage; doesn't that apply both to the CPU and chipset? From what I gather, it's actually more a function of the board design than the chipset that affects the need for increased vTT, and it's very hard to predict how much is necesary for a given clock speed on a given trace length on-PCB.

Otherwise, I can't see any reason for Intel, in the Core 2 spec sheet, stating the safe range is 1.2-1.5v...

    Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

My first impressions of v15 beta 1 :
I'm using a E4400 and this is just like v14 official, it wont overclock a single FSB MHz, on the other hand memory oc is "fine".
I noticed that now you have an option to select HD Audio for the front panel audio.

If anyone would like to give it a try here's a link :

They are located in the advanced bios features menu (the 3rd choice down) then in the Cpu feature menu the settings for all the advanced compuetr features are there, Turn of witch ones you require.

    Peace

So BIOS 15 has been oficially released on the taiwanese FTP :

BIOS release V15 for FP-IN9 SLI

    Release information:

    [ENGLISH]

    1. Support Wolfdale & Yolkfield CPU.
    2. Support the pin definition of Front Audio adjusting function.
    3. BIOS compiled date: 08/14/2007.
    Great.
Now we have 45nm processors support. The board is now Penryn ready.

Thast great news i was wondering if the board would be compatable with the new CPu's I have just brought a Q6600 (GO) so be a good while yet but good to know regardless.

    Nice one Abit

Has anyone had any better overclocking results on the newest bios?

Remmenber that you MUST have a good CPU, there´s a LOT of people who can´t get a decent FSB and think that´s a motherboard problem, but is not.

    Fist my baby overclock.

i tried using this options that you suggest but the pc isnt working well, it not even boot sometimes.. i have an core duo 6420 watercooled.. Is it an stepping issue? or am i sth missing..

i have updated the bios version to v14..

    Re: fatal1ty fp-in9 sli

So anyone tried OCing on bios 15 yet? I got good results on bios 14 but it took a fair bit of stuffing around and there were still huge FSB holes on the E4300 (ie pretty much nothing between 2 & 3GHz worked although 3-3.15GHz was fine!). A bit shy about updating again in case it takes me as long to find a happy combo with the new bios.
