    i think the box with the £39.99 sticker on was the set i mentioned earlier that includes the console etc - it was a small £79.99 price tag, but a great big sticker saying (in small) save (in big) £39.97 which is quite misleading.

    Also, £37.50 is 25% off £50. do they get 25% off then or was that a mistake?

    OK so I've done a test mount - a beta test if you will - of the LCD. It fits perfectly in the space provided.

    I have also worked how how the final mounting will work - but before that the front needs a bit of rebuilding and respraying - so it's not connected up at the moment.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Does anyone have pics of VGA vs. composite?

    I have a Voodoo3 and I guess VGA won't work, eh?

    Actually it is possible to get it working on a voodoo 3 - but you have to create a circuit that gives a csync circuit derived from the hsync and vsync signals.

    Click the circuit diagram for a link to the page all about it:

    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    What are you guys actually using to attach it to the inside of your case?

    "Enabling multi-monitors at different display resolutions results in Direct3D or OpenGL game images appearing off center on the secondary display. Further information on this issue can be found at: www.ati.com/support/infobase/4406.html"

    This is what is preventing this mod being useable for me. AFAIK it applys to D3D and opengl only, is game specific and not gfx card specific - it depends on how the gfx mode is applyed, i think.. lets hope they have a fix soon

    Hmm... that looks a little complicated to me. Can anything with composite video work on the screen though?

    Blu Tac at the moment, lol.

    Once I've dremeled the case some more the bring the screen further forward, I will then think about a more permentant fixing method.

    Yes, either a card with composite sync for VGA mode, or anything which supports a composite video connection. So if you have a card with TV-Out you're pretty much sorted, though the visual quality will be a bit worse.

    i think mine ( Voyager from Wild Things ) will be different to the official ones. But on mine there is a bracket on the back of the screen that has two screw tabs so i took it off & reversed it so the tabs get screwed into the front part of the case chassis, this way the front bezel can easily be removed leaving the screen in situ. I've seen others where the screen has been fixed into the bezel so removing it might be a problem ...... will post some pics when i get home

    *edit* you can see one of the brackets tabs on the last pic on page2 of this thread

    ok, i've got my screen now, its the same as the one in this pic...

    Pic removed for the mo - Kez.

    i've connected it to my geforce 2 pro's tv-out by connecting an s-video cable to the gfx card then plugging that into a composite adaptor and then using a composite to 3.5mm adaptor (from my canon digicam) to link that to the screen. it does seem to be getting a signal of some sort but its not a recognisable picture. anyone know what i need to do?

    i'm not sure what i need to do with my gfx card settings to get it to output properly.

    dunno, but iirc nvidia cards dont give composite sync, so how does composite work with them?

    I run mine through composite via the tv-out of my graphics card and am pleased with the results.

    Have since put the lcd in a modified dvd case, until I get my new pc case to put it into. It's quite good for distracting my son with a movie on the lcd whilst I surf the net on my main monitor.
