It's great fun when playing with friends, but when playing with randoms it looses it's appeal.

Just something about the "Survival DLC" with 12 new maps, sadly haven't seen any more in-depth details than that.

Fingers crossed it's free DLC. Even if they charge a bit, it should be ok.

Now I just need to get a better internet connection.

DLC is 100% free, they did it with TF2 and they have confirmed they will do it again with l4d. Xbox users might need to use xbox live points to get the DLC due to the bandwidth it will use on microsofts servers, but for us PC users its alllll gravy!


New maps will be verses modes for Dead Air and the other campagin, the name escapes me, then the Survior mode will add something, but i dont know enough to comment.

Then im guessing a few months later we'll get a couple new weapons, a pick up item and majybe another special. Then another campaign then bits & bobs to finish off the first 18 month period. Just me guessing though

Death Toll As I said before, TAKTAK and I have played Dead Air as versus (somehow) before. It's a great campaign for versus; early tank = much panic on the rooftops!

Playing with randoms is hit and miss BUT....that is where alot of fun and or merriment can come from. The worse bit is when they quit during the game.

Yeah, it's not currently supported though (missing textures etc), which is what the update will fix (hopefully)
They are the better campaigns though

just played Death Toll as versus with TAKTAK and a couple of randoms. Really hilarious...the bots LIVED!!! We destroyed the other team (but they scored more points as the first map didn't count...I timed out and was the only team member)..TAKTAK took out the team with a car that I as a tank found and bounced all the way back before I lost control of the tank (and TAKTAK took over). Other than some weird graphical glitches, Death Toll looks really good as versus map. There are a couple of bottlenecks as the infected though...especially when the tank gets spawned. Other than that, it seems the best way to live as survivor is to rush like a crazy fool to the end.

Really good game tonight shame i didn't see any other hexites on to invite in
